"The original idea for this photographic record of aircraft operated by the Philippine Air Force was formed nearly ten years ago when I first met Alberto (Bert) Anido and he showed me his vast collection of photographs of Philippine Air Force aircraft. Many were taken by Bert himself but he also had the foresight to collect from his many Air Force friends, photographs from their personal albums as well as official PAF sources, thereby guaranteeing that the photographs were not lost to posterity. This publication is due in no small part to Bert's diligence in collecting and recording Philippine Air Force history."
