What's New
The kit started out as M163 vulcan by Italeri 1/35 scale..  Overall the kit is nice, but I found out, the Academy M163 is nicer. It was partially built and stayed that way for a looong time.  Abet Anido sent me some pictures of an M113FSV  and I said to my self why not convert the M163 to an FSV.    In my "hobby shoppe" I have an AFVclub Scimitar that is perfect for this conversion. Luckily the Scimitar that I have has an extra hull made of resin for an early Scorpion version---PERFECT.  So I studied the pictures and I hope this represent the real vehicle. Somebody has yet to  mount the real vehicle and take a picture  of the front part where the cut-up Scorpion hull meets the M113 hull.
Conversion

I made an outline about 7mm from the top to the middle of the hull. I cut it off with a disc and added a front armor plate from my parts box,,dryfitted it to the M113 hull.  Assuming that  Phil. Army used the regular M113 hull , just aft to the engine bulkhead would be the commanders cupola and there would be a hole in this area..IF I WERE THE WELDER I PLUG THIS HOLE.   As you can see I added a sheet  styrene in front of the front  armor plate of the cut-up Scorpion hull.  And I think this is the most logical way to cover the hole and  convert this M113 to an M113FSV.
Painting
I used  Flat Black,  50:50 mix of FS33613 and Model Master Israeli Armor sand, FS34079,        FS34102.  No weathering except for the tracks.
