Was doing some file maintenance on my page and discovered
that you don't have to type in the /SouthBeach/Shores/7530 business
at the end of geocities.com. My new somewhat shortened web
address is now http://www.oocities.org/akuo_kai
Don't forget the underscore between akuo and kai. Went to go
see Sevendust and Falling Jupiter this past week. Very cool
bands, I advise you guys hunt up every mp3 you can find (if you
can). I think I'm gonna start some hardcore programming
of little utility applications and throw them up in the downloads
section. Anyway, I'm working on some other webpage stuff and
it's coming along very slowly. Gonna rescan all the pictures
and makeover those pages (since I forgot to a long while back).
I'm thinking of ideas for yet another redesign, so if you decide
not to come back for a while you may be in for a surprise.
Anyway, I'm outta here.

Been busy with school lately. Test week and all, won't
be updating for a while. I should have ADSL either by the end of
this week or the middle of next week. Dell announced the first 64MB
DDR version of a GeForce video card. The first card with true 64MB
(don't listen to 3dfx or ATI) on one chip. I may have to save up
my pennies and snag me one of those. Nox is a great solo player
game, but multiplayer sucks. Deathmatch type games are reserved
to first person shooters in my opinion. Got a new keyboard. Microsoft
Internet Keyboard Pro. Basically I bought it for the 2 usb ports
in the back and it seems to work out great. Tons of hotkeys and
the buttons don't feel cheap. I'm redesigning the links page (again)
so there isn't as much scrolling, and I may yet overhaul the entire
page one more time when I get the time. Anyway, back to the grind.
*UPDATE* Finally revised the links section, tell me what you think

Southwestern Bell is offering a GREAT deal on ADSL.
$39.99 a month with free equipment and free installation with a
one year contract. I believe it's supposed to be whatever line you
qualify for (either 1.5mb/down or 6mb/down) but the webpage says
it's only 1.5mb. Either way, a great upgrade(from 5k downloads to
150k downloads). I signed up and should be setup within the month.
Call 1-888-2DSL-888. Only bad things could come of this =) Nox was
shipped to stores today so it should be in stores tomorrow (EB,
and Software Etc.) and at most by friday in other stores (CompUSA,
Best Buy). Today marks the last Diablo II Screenshot of the week.
Probable beta soon? Got a new scanner so expect updated pictures.
For those of you interested in new speakers, the Klipsch
Pro Medias are on a 6-8 week backorder. These bad boys dish it out
at 400 watts and are one of the only THX certified computer speakers.
A TREMENDOUS deal at $250. Song to check out Red Hot Chili Peppers

Quick blurb. TeamStream
version 2.2 - Download it. Basically an online telephone. Works
extremely well. On the plus side, it's free, and it works in the
background. You can have multiple people talking not just one on
one but more of a conferencing tool. Get yourself a microphone and
check it out! I'll add it to the downloads page later. For now,
we all use it for Starcraft purposes and we've been raiding and
conquering like no one's business. Though on the practical side,
it works really well just to chat using voice, or just to hear someones
voice or whatever. It's extremely nifty, and a quick little 1.5
meg download. I'm outta here.

Went out and bought The Sims. Not as exciting as I had hoped, but
very VERY addicting. In a normal Sim game you control cities and
worlds and stuff, but in this one you only have to manage one household.
Very basic, yet very complex also. Well worth the $40. Check the
link on the top right. Still no Diablo II beta in sight, but I can
smell it in the works, and yes it smells good. There are few games
this year with so much hype around them as Diablo II. Other games
that look promising are Black & White, Team Fortress 2, Halo,
Warcraft III (yeah right, like that's comin out this year), Nox,
Dark Reign II, Metal Fatigue, and Chrono Cross. There are probably
more, but I'm going on the obsessive about Diablo II now. Check
out Diana Krawl's song Let's Face the Music and Dance and Creed
- What If.
