|I just wanted to share with you something incredible that I hope will be an encouragement to you today. This past Sunday night, Michael and I had the great opportunity to go to Ashboro to share our testimony and for me to sing at a revival service with Ken Freeman. One of the things that seemed to keep recurring throughout our testimonies was that we both knew and remembered dates of when certain events happened. One thing shared is that the day of Michael's injury, March 19, 1992, no longer has a hold over me~God has delieverd me from it~for so long that day was so dreaded and a dark cloud seemed to settle over me and it would linger for even weeks after~It wasn't until I "gave" that day and its events away to God that I was healed and made whole. (That isn't the only date which has haunted me in my lifetime.) I'm sure for many of you, the same is true in your life. I want to share a word of encouragement to you, to tell you that God is just waiting on you to hand it all over to Him~all your hurts heartache~all the emptiness and anger, resentment, pain and turmoil~don't wait any longer! He's big enough to handle anything you can throw at Him! Remember this: God is never shocked at the depth of our need for Him...He knows everything about each one of us, inside and out. I'm so thankful that I can be here in this moment and tell you that there really is life on the other side of death~I feel like we experienced dying, but never left these mortal bodies~there is hope for our tomorrow(Once your tomorrow comes, its really today and God will get you through!). There truly is joy that can flood your soul and give you a new outlook on life~don't underestimate the power of God working on your behalf~cry out to Him, seek Him with all that you have, all that you are and you won't be disappointed! God can't fail and He cannot deny Himself! Praise the Lord! Phillipians 3:13 says this: "Brethen, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." The past is just that~past! But we can look forward to and reach for those things which are ahead~the best is yet to come! Believe it and you will see it come to pass..."The past should be a springboard, not a hammock"...Think about it. God bless you all!
