School Days

1. Did you like or dislike high school?

  • For the most part, I disliked high school and couldn't wait to graduate. I liked college much better.

    2. Walk to school, ride the bus or catch a ride with someone?

  • Usually the bus

    3. What was your favorite subject?

  • That was a long time ago, but I'm pretty certain it was Business Math.

    4. When it came to doing homework, did you do it right away, wait 'til the last minute or just do it whenever you felt like it?

  • Usually it was done right away.

    5. Would you go to your high school reunion?

  • Since I've lost touch with everyone I went to school with, it's unlikely I would go to my reunion.
    Thank you for all your comments regarding my absent-mindedness lately that I wrote about in last weeks entry. It's good to know that I'm not alone. I've determined that its a combination of having have too much on my mind and not sleeping well. Worrying about it was just cluttering my sleep-deprived head even more, so I'm spending more time writing things down and taking my Ambien more often so I can get a good night's sleep once in a while.
    Anyhow, I had an interview earlier in the week. It is for a position in sales. Yes, I know I had my heart set on continuing a career in purchasing, but I'm not having any luck finding a buyer's position in my area, and the temp job I'm at now isn't a buyer's position either, so why not explore other options, right? I used to do retail sales, and having buyer's experience will give me a unique perspective if I get into sales. I was always told that sales is where the money is anyhow, so maybe I'll be better off in the long run.

    With both John and I being unemployed off and on for the past 27 months, I have to find a better job to make all this misery worth it. I'm thankful for family and friends, whos kindness has kept our hope going throughout this whole ordeal. I love you all! {HUGS}
    As you probably know, Hurrican Charley missed Tampa, so my sisters and their families were safe. However, it unexpectedly went through the town a friend's son lives in. A tree was uprooted and landed right on top of his car. Fortunately, he wasn't in it at the time, but the car is totalled. Also, the wind blew off the roof of the extension of his trailer. He wasn't hurt, but it was a traumatic event. Please keep everyone that has been in the path of Charley in your thoughts and prayers.
    Well, we're having another yard sale today, so I'd better go for now.
    Thanks for reading!
