Thought of the day:
"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a
happy family all wrapped up in each other."

1. Is your Christmas shopping complete? If no, how much is left to do?
Christmas shopping is done. Actually, I feel a great sense of accomplishment for being able to get it accomplished without spending too much money.
Part of that was because my list was shorter this year, and I resisted the urge to buy gifts for people that weren't on my list.
But, a lot of it was just being resourceful, and finding great gifts that I know will be appreciated, at great prices.
2. If someone not on your Christmas shopping list buys you a present,
do you feel like you have to buy one for them?
I do tend to feel guilty if someone gives me a gift and I don't have anything for them.
I'm a "giver" by nature, so I give without expecting anything in return.
However, I have a hard time reversing that concept. It doesn't happen that often, though.
3. What is your favorite Christmas special or holiday movie?
It's a Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart. I've lost track of how many times I've watched it.
4. Tell us about one of your favorite Christmas memories.
I can't just pick one. My fondest memories are when I was little and we visited Grandma and Grandpa, and when Kevin was little, and he would be so excited.
The spirit of the holidays comes alive with the joy of a child.
5. Tell us about a holiday mishap. (i.e.: tree falling over, dog eating
presents, etc.)
One Christmas, when Kevin was about 4 or 5, we had Christmas Eve dinner at one of his Grandmother's.
He was so sick the next day, he couldn't even open his gifts. The day didn't feel like Christmas at all.
It was a long time before he would eat ham again after that.
