"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." - Dale Carnegie I haven't done this in a while. How about a journal entry from ... ![]() 1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year? Surviving the year. This is one year I never want to repeat. Geeez....that was a negative answer. Let me think of a more positive response..... I guess it would have to be getting the courage to drive again after the accident. I didn't even want to be a passenger in a car again while I was in the hospital, but I had to get home somehow! It took two weeks before I would, but I had to, since it was the only way to get my new car home from the dealer. I didn't even test drive it before I bought it! I wish someone would invent technology to just "beam" people from place to place, so there wouldn't be accidents anymore. 2. What was your biggest disappointment? Starting to smoke again after the accident, even though I knew better. 3. Will you be making any New Year's resolutions? Yes. Next year I will turn 40, and I resolve to make it a good year, full of accomplishments. 4. Where will you be at midnight? Do you wish you could be somewhere else? Probably watching Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve. No, I always preferred to be home on New Year's Eve, so I could go to bed right after the countdown. When I've gone to parties, everyone gets wound up after midnight, and I just want to go home and go to bed. 5. Aside from (possibly) staying up late, do you have any other New Year's traditions? Not really. On New Year's Day, we usually take down the Christmas tree, and just enjoy the day off from work. Background graphic from Graphics by Pat.
