A quick entry before going to bed:
Sunday Brunch
MONEY MATTERS
1. Cash, check or charge?
All of the above, depending on where I'm shopping, and what I have on for me for cash.
2. Who or what do you spend most of your money on?
Rent is almost three quarters of our present incoming cash flow.
3. How often do you shop for yourself?
Rarely, especially now. Every purchase I make, I have to think to myself, "Do I really need this? Will it make any real difference if I wait until later to purchase this?" Let's take the Benadryl that was just purchased today for an example. Yes, I needed it..I've had an allergic reaction and I'm out, and hyrdrocordisone is not enough relief. Will it make any difference if I wait? Yes, because I need relief now, and I was told Friday that if the rash wasn't gone by Monday to go see my PCP.
Did I forget to mention that I developed a rash on my arm Friday? Oh, then let me backtrack: Friday morning, I discovered a rash on my inside forearm that looked like I went through a briar patch. The itching was beyond belief. I took a hot shower, and put hydrocortisone on it. I think I have a clue how Stefani felt when she had poison ivy last year, because the hot shower was the only real relief, although it was only temporary. I had an appointment with my gynocologist, and after he looked at it, he said if it wasn't gone in two days, to go see my PCP. Well, here it is two days later, and it looks a little better on my forearm, but it has spread up to toward my underarm area. And it itches like crazy! I have no idea what it's from, since obviously, I haven't been anywhere near poison ivy, but I do have hypersensitive reactions to things. Like 3 years ago, a hornet stung me in my arm muscle while I was in a car. Fortunately, Kevin was driving at the time, or who knows what would have happened. We went to my parents house to make sure the stinger was out and I put baking soda on it. Anyhow, to make a long story much shorter, a week later I had a secondary reaction to the sting. My arm swelled up, was hot, red and painful to touch, I felt sick to my stomach, and I had to get a prescription and have a shot to take care of it. Anyhow, back to the point, if I take benadryl, it hopefully will take care of it, and I won't have to go to the doctor's tomorrow for him to give me a prescription for something similar to benadryl. (Yes, I do tend to ramble when I get going....)
4. One television commercial says the average American has 14 credit
cards... are you average, above average or below average?
Thankfully, I am way below average. I have a couple that I use, and a couple which I refuse to use and am paying off slowly.
5. If you could take one paycheck and just have fun with it, what
would you do?
Show me a paycheck, and I'll let you know. :) Seriously, I don't know what I'd do with that much "fun" money. I guess I could make it fun to pay some bills. (lol)
