Just Rambling on Sunday, November 2, 2003
It just doesn't seem like a Sunday in the fall without a Buffalo Bill's game. This is their bye week, which means at least they definitely won't lose.
I'm feeling much better today than yesterday. Whatever was wearing me out yesterday is gone today.
Kevin and Ashley are being civil with each other again. It's like watching a soap opera with those two. Just as long as they take good care of MacKenzie, they will sort through their problems eventually.
John's a little miffed that Kevin is here and about the situation in general. I feel it has something to do with the fact that after he moved away from home, he never went back, even when he was down and out on his luck.
On the other hand, I feel bad that Kevin has to sleep on the floor or the couch while's he's here. (Kevin lost a lot of furniture and appliances in his many moves over the past couple of years...long story.)
I'm just trying to help him with the best means available to me.
Kevin's looking for a part time evening job doing auto body work, or a garage that he can do body work out of. His boss is trying to help him find a good vehicle he can afford, and he'll need the extra money for the higher insurance premiums.
He's saving up money to rent his own place again.
I'm feeling overwhelmed by my unemploymnet status. I thought I would have a few good prospects by now. Buyer and purchasing jobs are not plentiful, and I've even considered going into inside sales. I'd probably make a good salesperson as long as was selling a product I believed in.
For the next three days, I'll be attending unemployment seminars in Geneseo. They go over job loss, resumes, cover letters, what employers are looking for nowdays, interview techniques, etc. Maybe that's just what I need to find and get the perfect job.
Thanks for reading!
