We were considering going to see The Matrix Revolutions this weekend. But, after the disappointing reviews it received, we may wait until it's out on video.

The Matrix isn't the type of movie I would normally choose to watch. It wasn't until the first Matrix movie was out in video that I even considered it. A friend loaned us the video, and after seeing bits and pieces of it, I had to watch the movie over again in it's entirety.

If you haven't seen any of the Matrix movies, it's about computers taking over everything and everyone. But it's so much more than that. It's a movie filled with symbolism, and it's the type of movie that really makes you think and leaves you with many questions. The second movie (Matrix Revisited) came out in May of this year. I was disappointed because instead of answering questions, it left you with more. The reviews of the latest movie (Matrix Revolutions) indicate that this movie doesn't answer the questions either, but, I think that maybe this means they are trying to say that sometimes there are no answers.

So, anyhow, we rented a couple of movies instead. How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days and The In-Laws. How To... was a cute romantic comedy that was good for some laughs. The basic story line is a guy (Matthew McConaughey)makes a bet that he can get a girl to fall in love with him in ten days, while the girl (Kate Hudson)is using him to write a magazine article about how to lose a guy...within ten days. To no one's surprise, they end up falling for each other. A typical romantic comedy, which I would recommend, if you like that type of movie. While The In-laws was funny at times, it was mostly a "stupid-funny". In this movie, the father of the groom (Michael Douglas)is an undercover CIA agent who accidentally gets the father of the bride (Albert Brooks) involved in his mission. The bride's father is a nervous man who unravels easily, which makes for the funny moments, but it's really not worth renting, in my humble opinion.

Thanks for reading!
