Can you believe there is only two months left until Christmas? If anyone has ideas for inexpensive gifts to make quickly, please e-mail me!

Speaking of gifts, I've been blessed with many gifts this past month. First of all, my birthday was October 5th, so I received gifts from family, friends, and co-workers. (Thank you all!) The place where I work is like working with family, so a birthday is a good day at WNYCS. I was able to spend some relaxing time on a picnic with a couple of co-workers, just talking "girl talk", before the weather turned cold. I've been able to spend more one on one time with my mother and sister. Ironically, we live within a 60 mile radius of each other, but we don't spend the time together that we used to. My son is doing extremely well at school, learning a trade that he loves, and I am very proud of him. The doctors finally determined what was causing most of my back and shoulder pain (from the car accident in June). That was a huge relief because I wasn't starting to think I was losing my mind! Apparently, the force of the impact of my head on the doorframe caused my vertabrea (sp?) in my cervical spine to go out of wack. If I move a certain way, or sit too long, it pinches a nerve cluster that radiates pain down my neck, back, shoulder and arm. Of course, this means more trips to doctors, but it's easier to deal with pain when you know what's causing it. I received a very complimentary annual review from my boss. I didn't get the amount of pay increase that I needed, but at least I got praised. ( I wonder, if I tell Wegmans what a fantastic job they are doing, if they will accept me paying less for my groceries?) Yikes, do I detect a note of sarcasm? Not me! That must have been my evil side! Fortunately, my good side (or is my naive side?) is stronger, and realizes that an increase is an increase, and is welcomed. :) Also, there are other benefits of working at WNYCS, including Stefani's birthdy brownies! My husband, who was laid off from a very evil company in May, finally got another call for some contract work, after not having anything for over a month. My football team, the Bills, are finally starting to play well enough for people to notice them. One of our vendors gave a coworker and I tickets to the New England game on November 3rd at Orchard Park. (Thank you Alan @ I.T. Xchange Inc.!) Originally, he was going to give them to another coworker who was going out of town that weekend, but that coworker generously recommended me! (Thanks, Larry!) I could ramble on and on about all the good things that have happened this past month, but I think I'll save them for another day! Take care!
