GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL CLASSES

Up to  20 points may be deducted for lack of professionalism.  Professionalism includes, but is not limited to, turning work in on the due date.  Late assignments will be accepted upto a week after the due date.

Unless otherwise instructed, all work is to be turned in via email to the instructor.

All evaluation (tests) must be submitted by the due date.  The evaluations will be emailed to you.

TJC has a writing lab for those who need to refresh their writing skills.

EVALUATIONS:  Unless otherwise instructed, all evaluations/tests should be answered on a Scantron 882-E and turned in to my office J159.  You may slip it under my door, put it in the plastic tray, or take it to the dean's office and they will put it in my box.  Do not wrinkle, fold or otherwise mangle your form.
VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

You are responsible for knowing all the following information.

1. There are no excused or unexcused absences.  You are expected to attend every scheduled class meeting. This includes the first day of classes as per the class schedule.  If you are absent, you are to email the instructor with a reason for your absence.  You MUST follow the guidelines for sending an email.  Three tardies will equal one absence.

Online students must contact the instructor a minimum of twice a week to receive credit for participation.

2. If you do not have your assignment by the due date, you must give the instructor notice in writing (typed or emailed) the reason for the assignment being late.  If you do not do this, the assignment WILL NOT be accepted.  Another copy of the reason must accompany the assignment.  There may be a penalty for late assignments.

3. Assignments later than three days will not receive a grade. However, you will be given credit for the assignment.  This will be determined by the instructor.  All assignments must be typed.  Guidelines for typed work must be followed.  The assignments are to be submitted into TaskStream unless otherwise noted.

4. Evaluation (test) scores may be improved by giving a typed justification and support documentation for the answer that your chose.  Attach the justifications and your original answer document within a week of receiving your graded evaluation.

5. No evaluation will be accepted after the due date regardless of reason.  You will be given adequate notice of due dates.  Get the work done early.

6. All decisions or interpretations concerning the course guidelines are at the discretion of the instructor who may amend, change, or add to as needed with notice to the students.

7. Check your email daily.  TJC provides Internet access to all registered students.  It is recommended that you sign up for a free email account other than the one provided by the college.

8.  Review the course webpage on a regular basis.  Most announcements will be posted at least a week in advance.   A daily check of the course webpage is recommended.

9.  Check my mainpage  weekly (daily is recommended)..  Education students are responsible for any due dates and assignments made by the education department.
