Introducing Aubrey Faith Mrotz
Pregnancy Pictures
On the morning of April 30 at my doctors appointment, I was told I was 4cm dilated with a bulging bag of water and that labor could start anytime.  That evening we had a Remeberance Ceremony to go to for Nevaeh at the hospital (both sets of grandparents were there also).  We were there for about 3 1/2 hours and I only had a few contractions.  I planned on getting checked out before leaving the hospital even though nothing was going on, I just wanted to be safe.  We told both of our parents that I really didn't think I was going to have this baby tonight, so we would talk to them later and said goodbye.

Off to The Birth Center we went (even Desiree & Dylan).  The nurse checked me into the transition area first, just to monitor contractions.  Of course nothing was happening, but the nurse wanted to check me anyways (said since I was full-term and of my appointment earlier that day) before sending me home.  Well to our suprise I was 7cm dilated.  So instead of sending me home, she sent me to Labor & Delivery (this was about 9:45pm).  After we go to my room, we called my parents to come and pick up the kids before anything started to happen.  My doctor came to break my water (around 11pm)  in hopes of starting some contactions.  Around 12am I got an epidural, which cause my blood pressure to drop.  Once that was stabalized they started pitocen on me (around 2am) because I only had a few contractions since breaking my water.  We knew that once I started having contractions it wouldn't be long before she was born.

Around 2:20am my epidural started to wear off on my right side, and I begged them to make me numb again!  My nurse put more medicine in my epidural and 10-15min later I felt better.  By the time I was numb again, my doctor wanted to checked me, (at 2:43am) she said I was 10cm dilated and to go ahead and start pushing.  I pushed for the next 7 minutes and
Aubrey Faith was born at 2:50am on Saturday May 1, 2004.  She weighed 7lbs 12oz and was 20in long.
