| My name is Nevaeh Faith Mrotz. I was born on June 12, 2003 at 6:35pm. I weighed 4lbs 2oz and was 17 inches long. My proud family includes my parents, Augie and Dawn, big sister Desiree, and big brother Dylan. I was born with a rare chromosome disorder called Trisomy 18 or Edwards Syndrome. Since Trisomy 18 is considered to be "incompatable with life", most babies do not make it to birth. Of the babies that are born alive, 90% of them die before they reach their first birthday. Well, I was one of the babies that made it to birth. I did have some problems that were a result of the "T18" that caused me to leave my family early (you can read more about them under "My Story"). I died in my mommies arms on August 12, 2003. I was exactly two months old. I was sured loved very much & I will miss my family as much as they will miss me. |

| My name is very special to my family. After my parents learned of my diagnosis, they started to think of a name that would be as special as I am. One of our neighbors told my mommy about her great grandaughters name, Nevaeh. She said that it is HEAVEN spelled backwards. My mommy thought that it was a perfect name for me. The rest of the family loved it also. Since my family had such faith that I would make it past delivery, they named me NEVAEH FAITH. |
