The most popular being Dassoudi beach. A volcanic beach with a pebble stone shoreline where you can often see the locals fishing. There is a lot to do here, the young ones can enjoy the park it has swings, climbing frames, slides and an arcade with lots of computer games. This area is best visited after 4:00pm as the sun is weaker, at this time of the day. If you go any earlier you will probably get sunburnt, as the temperatures here often reach the 90’s. For the more adventurous, try the water sports, jet skiing or paragliding. If this type of sport is not for you, then you may want to try out, the basketball or volleyball facilities. There is a Beach Bar here, also numerous restaurants and cafes too. If you need to eat or drink, it ‘s not far to walk. Maybe its sunshine you’re after, then there are many sun beds for hire; you should pay about £2.00 (Cypriot) for one of these. The best times for this beach, start at 8.30am until midday, then 3:30pm until 6.30pm, as the whole of the island takes a siesta from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm.

Limassol is approximately one hour’s drive from Larnaca airport. It is the second largest Town, on this very beautiful Island. The roads here are the same as they are in England; you drive on the left-hand side and give way to traffic from the right. If you hire a car and park on the double yellow lines, you will get a parking ticket, just like home. The roads are quite at night, unless you are in a town. However during the day the roads are very busy, except for siesta time. There is only one other thing to be aware of, when the Cypriots beep the horn; it is usually because they are very happy, as long as you remember this you should have a safe journey. If you want the quite side of this town, you should book a hotel in the older part of Limassol. The new side is targeting the younger holidaymakers. It boasts numerous nightclubs that open at 11:00pm, until 5.30am at the weekends. During the week they tend to close at around 3:00am/ 4:00am. Internet access is widely available, at the Arcades,Internet Cafes and some Fast Food outlets. Usually the cost is approximately 50 Cypriot Cents, for around 5minutes.There are many coach trips, numerous cruises and jeep Safari adventures to choose from, so How you tour this Island, is totally up to yourself. The beaches in this part of town take up the whole of the coastline.
