Per Gessle born in January of 1959, 12 in Halmstad, in the Swedish coast west and was the leader of  Gyllene Tider, a very successful power-pop band in suecia by the middle of those '80 that he had ended up selling but of a million badges they give Scandinavia.

After dissolving Gyllene, it records two álbunes soloists that you/they obtained very good you criticize and a medium commercial event.

Marie Fredriksson Ljungby was born in Oyster in 1958 and during its youth it went by diverse bands hast  1982, where it was part of a duet called Mammas Barn, with which recorded a decent album. Then he/she was devoted to their career soloist that so far takes sold 6 álbunes that you/they sold near 750 thousand copies in Sweden.

Marie and Per they met each other in 1978, in Halmstad, in a recording study, presented in common by a friend, but newly in 1984 they begin to work together.

The first simple made by Roxette called himself  "Neverending Love" and it was everything or event; with him the presentations and the obligation began of recording an album premiere.

For ends of the '86 "Pearls of Passion" (Pearls of Passion), the first album of the duet, was in the disquerías, to this they were added tours multitudinarias by all Sweden and escandinavia.

1988 find them recording the second album, titled "Look Sharp! " and published in October. This was the upward beginning from a scatterbrained trip to the success.

Up to now Roxette takes selling 45 million disks approximately in the entire world.
