TWISTED METAL I & II

OK, OK, I know that these titles are a little old, but hey, I just got my PlayStation in '98, so they are new to me! If you are new to a playstation (like me!) or you haven't checked'em out, THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Fuck man, it cars with guns! WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT??? Anyway, if you like motors & mayhem as much as I do you will love these! Both feature 12 vehicals of various types, each with thier own strengths, weaknesses & special weapon. As the cover on Twisted Metal 1 sez, "...One of them has you written all over it." Both play in one or two player modes with split screen. TM 1 features a multi-view zoom function which includes a cockpit view. TM 2 doesn't include the cockpit view, but does feature the ability to "sit still and turn" that TM 1 does not. TWISTED METAL III

OKAY, I know I'm slow getting this review out but hey, I've been too busy PLAYIN' THE DAMN GAME! TWISTED METAL III is out & it's about time!!! Due to office politics (What office politics and good gaming have to do with each other is beyond me), Twisted Metal III was greatly delayed. Single Trac (Who created TM 1 & 2) split from Sony and lost the rights to the name Twisted Metal, so Sony gave it to 989 Studios (after much wasted time!), who has finally put out. Now in my surfing, I have found several bad reviews of this game. All I can say is that these guy (The corporate type paid game reviwers) get a new game to review about every fifteen minutes (I get a new game once every 4 or 5 months & I have to pay for it!)! I doubt very seriously that these guys took the time to really dig into the game. One big complaint I keep hearing is about is the TRU-Physic game engine. They complain about the handling and the cars flippin' over (these are same guys that complained about TM 1 & 2 unrealistic movement). Well, all I have to say is that if they took the time to learn HOW TO DRIVE, then they may have had different opinion. Sure, some time you flip over but they forgot to use this to their advantage. How you say? By using certain weapons, you can make your enemies flip over too. Pin 'em in a corner and unload on 'em!!! The Tru physics, I beleive makes you car easier to control, and pardon me but, I like a little more realism in my games from time to time. One of the reviewers even put down the Rob Zombie sound track down, (He MUST DIE! Minion, go give him a call, and tell'em hip63 sent ya!). Anyway, I think that TWISTED METAL III is GREAT, and according to the reader polls I've checked, most players agree! As usual, there are still many things to do and destroy (although I agree with most that Washington D.C. is kinda lame!). Hip Rating of *****

While I'm at it, I would like to comment on the Magic The Gathering Battlemage for Sony Playstation. All I have to say is that it SUCKS big time. I don't know who designed it but they suck too!Hip Rating Of SUK, SUK, SUK!!!
