The 17th annual WINTERFEST (FORMERLY WYOCREVAR SKI JAMBOREE) will be held January 28-30, 2005 at King City Community Centre. Saturday's activities will take place at Snow Valley in Barrie. Cost for the weekend is $50 before December 17 and $60 after, and includes 4-hour lift ticket for tubing, accommodation, meals, and bus to Snow Valley. For an additional fee skiing and snowboarding are available. This event is open to Guides and Scouts ages 14-18. Anyone over the age of 18 may offer service. All registrations must be submitted by January 14, 2005. Registration is limited to 100 male and 100 female participants.

North Waterloo and Wellington Areas are offering a VENTURER EXECUTIVE WORKSHOP February 10-12, 2006 at Camp Barber in Guelph. Each Company will be allowed to send a
maximum of 2 participants, and 75 percent of the slots will be reserved for
Venturer Companies from North Waterloo and Wellington until December 5,
2005. After that, participants will be accepted from any Area up to the
maximum number of participants. Participants must have at least one year
of Venturer experience. The course fee for the weekend is $35.00 per participant and includes indoor accommodations, meals and training materials. Participants need to arrive by 7:00pm on the Friday, and the course will be completed by 3:00pm on Sunday afternoon. As per North Waterloo training policy, course registration and fees must be received by the Course Co-ordinator to guarantee your spot in the course. For more info, contact:

The Hamilton Rover Round Table invites you to SNOW MOOT February 17-19, 2006 at Mt. Nemo Scout Camp in Burlington. This year's theme is Tin Stars and Corsets. Activities include the polar bear dip, Friday night wacky games, wrangler car tour extravaganza, and a scavenger hunt. The tuck shop will be open all weekend, and firewood will be supplied to those camping outside. Camping in tents is encouraged, although cabins are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
