Chapter 171

"We have to go after Sailor Moon.." Jupiter said.

"It's about time we found out what those aliens were up to," Venus said.

"Don't forget Rini's up there too.." Mercury said.

"So are we all agreed in this?" Mars asked.

The four nodded.

"It is your intention to teleport up to that ship?" Sailor Saturn asked emerging from the shadows.

"Yeah.." Mars said.

"Very well.." Sailor Saturn said. "Do you have any concept of the risk you may be taking?"

"We have to follow her," Jupiter said.

"That's what friends do Saturn," Mars said.

"And if there should be a harmful atmosphere up there..or perhaps no gravity..or any number of other unknowns?" Saturn asked.

"We really don't have a choice here.." Mars said.

"Of course it's risky," Jupiter said. "But we'll have to hope it's not too dangerous."

"As long as you understand," Saturn said and walked off.

"We're all sure about this aren't we?" Mars asked. The others nodded.

"Well that's good..because if she's right..well....she had better not be right," Mars said.

"Let's hope we can teleport with only four people.." Venus said.

"It should be possible.." Mercury said.

The four joined hands and concentrated. They were surrounded by colored energy, seconds later they vanished blasting apart the floor they were standing on.

"The Sailor Scouts have left.." Saturn said.

"Wonderful.." Maverick muttered.

"You do not approve."

"You know the risk they're taking..and now..our defenses are even lower..sure..Nehelenia isn't likely to attack when we've got this army ready to swamp her..but then again..she can probably stop every human soldier we've got.." Maverick said. "I know the Queen and the King are here..but since I sent the other Guardian Scouts to reinforce the others, I wish they had hung around."

"If they bring Sailor Moon back though..or forces will be stronger."

"That is very true..which is the only reason I'm holding out any hope."

"Nehelenia will not attack now..she is too weak..though not weak enough to destroy in her current state."

"Figures."

"You're analysis is correct however..our sheer numbers would merely delay her breaking through, but not for long."

"Good for her," Maverick muttered.

"Is there something that angers you?"

"Is there anything that doesn't?"

"You are exaggerating."

"Not by much," Maverick said.

"Well..there it is.." Neo-Uranus said looking through a pair of binoculars. A mile or so away sat what was left of Nehelenia's army.

"I guess the question is..do we let her drain all the energy into those ten or so minions she's got there, and then swarm them..or do we attack outright and deprive of her energy?" Neo-Pluto said.

"Attack now...they won't expect it..." Neo-Saturn said.

"And if they did you wouldn't care," Neo-Neptune said.

"Hmm..I think we should get the jump on them..if she can't get the energy..we're all better off," Neo-Uranus said.

"Of course..we will have an army to deal with and ten minions," Neo-Neptune said. "But what the hey.."

He turned to the four 20th century scouts standing a few feet behind them.

"I'm sure you four together..might stop one.." he muttered.

"Oh you think so.." Pluto said.

"You're in for a surprise," Uranus said.

"Yeah, you jerk!" Neptune said.

"Don't encourage me to take you all to school.." Neo-Neptune said drawing his sword. Pluto grabbed his arm.

"Later..if ever..." Pluto said.

"Very well.." Neo-Neptune said. "The minions may just do my job for me."

The four Guardians scowled at him.

Minutes later.

"So General you up for a fight?" Neo-Uranus asked.

"We're ready..that is if you can keep those monsters of hers busy," the commanding General of the European army said.

"We'll do our best," Neo-Uranus said. "It's going to be a brawl."

"You know we could just bomb them..I mean..sure they'd all die..but..heck..problem solved," The General said.

"We can't just kill them like that..they don't mean to do what they're doing," Neo-Uranus said.

"But they might someday.." the General said.

"That's not our call General..listen..you want to start a war..figure it out later.." Neo-Uranus said.

"Fine..we'll go at it the old fashioned way.." the General said.

'Wise choice," Neo-Uranus said. "For a bunch of reasons."

"Actually bombing them isn't such a bad idea you know," Neo-Neptune said. "It'd be much cleaner."

"What are you talking about," Neo-Uranus said.

"Oh come now..I shouldn't need to explain the intricacies to you," Neo-Neptune said. "If we just leveled the place we'd probably take care of the army and minions."

"And what about all those people down there."

"Wars always lead to unexpected civilian casualties...it's a write off.." Neo-Neptune said.

"A write off..." Neo-Uranus said and a second later hit Neo-Neptune knocking him to the dirt. Neo-Neptune flipped, drawing his sword.

"Come on!" he said.

"Put that sword away.." Neo-Uranus said.

"I think not.."

"You're going to make me take it way aren't you?"

"Oh..you are such a smart one aren't you?" Neo-Neptune said swinging his sword it was blocked by Neo-Saturn's.

"You are well aware that if I choose to get involved you will not win.." Neo-Saturn said.

"Winning isn't as important as making someone bleed," Neo-Neptune said pulling back.

"I'll make you bleed if you don't back off.." Neo-Saturn said calmly. "You will bleed in all the wrong places."

"See you at the fight!" Neo-Neptune shouted and leapt off down the mountain.

"There he goes.." Neo-Uranus said. "Come on," he said.

The rest of the scouts formed up and charged down the hill.

"We'll be along.." the General said casually.

"Hurry.." Neo-Uranus said.

The scouts were down the hill and leaping across the field. Neo-Neptune several steps ahead of them. The negaverse army had already formed up to meet them. The minions stood ready as well. The laser weapons of the troops started opening fire.

"Why do they even bother?" Neo-Neptune snapped and jumped into the enemy lines hacking away like he usually did while the army swarmed all over him.

"Forget the army go for the minions," Neo-Uranus said. Neo-Saturn took the lead and leapt over the army. The others followed. Neo-Uranus glanced over his shoulder.

"The army isn't here yet? Jeez.what's taking them.." he muttered.

The group turned to see the ten minions standing waiting for them.

"Well..this is a sight isn't it?" A dark man in a cloak said. "I am..Alrie, commander of her majesty's forces in China.."

"Funny...I didn't think the British Empire went that far.." Neptune said.

No one laughed.

"Bad time.." Neptune said.

"As my army crushes your friend there..My forces here will take on the group of you..." Alrie said.

"I think you are not thinking through your opponents carefully enough," Neo-Saturn said. "We will bury you."

"Is that a fact?" Alrie asked. "Enough talk..it is time to finish the battle. But let me just tell you what your dealing with.."

"Be my guest," Neo-Uranus said. The more time he had the better the chances of the European army forming up to come to their aid.

"On my right at the far end there..is Golkum, the rock giant..now...I hope you don't plan on stabbing or cutting him..won't work..he is made of stone after all," Alrie said with a smile.

"Next to him is Retago."

There stood a fiendish looking creature with ten arms and a pair of heads.

"He's got some spare body parts doesn't he?" Neptune asked.

"You are a strange one." Alrie said. "But I assure you these spare parts will put you in need of repair."

"See what you started?" Pluto muttered.

"Sorry," Neptune said.

"Next up..Opium.." Alrie said.

"OPIUM?" the seven all asked.

"What is the problem?" Alrie asked.

The group all scowled and looked at the charcoal black skinned creature wearing a bright white vest that meshed with a pair of white pants.

"I'll just let you guess what power he has," Alrie said.

"The ability to cause euphoria and lack of judgement?" Neptune asked.

Alrie's eyes widened slightly.

"I see you've encountered enemies such as this before.." he muttered.

Neptune cracked a smile.

"Anyway..beside me here is Avictus..he doesn't have big claws or teeth..just exquisite fighting skill."

Avictus swung a strange looking sword speedily.

"Impressive," Neo-Saturn said. "But any fighter can be beaten."

"Until now.." Avictus said.

"Okay..number five on our little list.." Alrie said. "We call him Xcoi."

At Alrie's strange pronunciation some of the scouts did a double take, they did a second when they saw that Xcoi was just a floating head.

"He looked like he had legs from a distance.." Pluto said.

"They're right here," Xcoi muttered. Out of the top of his head came legs, he floated upside down and placed them on the ground.

"That's a nice trick.." Neptune said. "I'd hate to see how go the bathroom."

"Yes you would," Xcoi said.

"You're enjoying this too much.." Neo-Pluto said.

"Sorry," Neptune said. Neo-Uranus glanced behind him. The army still hadn't shown up. What are they waiting for? He wondered. He glanced back to see Neo-Neptune still standing amidst hundreds of soldiers. He'll manage. Neo-Uranus thought. As for us."

"Next up..Uris..." Alrie said.

"Leon Uris?" Pluto asked.

"Who was he?" Neptune asked.

"Just some guy.."

"Oh.."

Uris was a humanoid looking cyborg creature with several ugly looking weapons jutting from his left arm.

"Great..just what we need.." Uranus muttered.

"Seven...is just that..Seven.." Alrie said. A figure with a large seven sitting on his chest stood there.

"He's a big surprise," Alrie added. "Next up. The Aiver."

A short purple creature wearing a cloak stood there.

"He's probably the most dangerous of the group," Saturn said.

"What makes you think that?" Pluto asked.

"Something that is that short and that stupid looking must possess great power," Saturn said.

"Point taken," Pluto said.

"And finally, T," Alrie said pointing at a blob like cube that glowed.

"I pity the fool...." Neptune muttered.

"Rule number one seventy two of engagement. Avoid blob like cubes," Neo-Uranus said.

"And if he doesn't want to be avoided?" Uranus asked.

"You're on your own there.." Neo-Uranus said, pressing a button on his communicator.

"Oh and of course there's me.." Alrie said. "The most skilled warrior you shall ever face."

"Ten on seven..and a whole army just waiting in the wings ey.." Neo-Uranus said. "To bad we didn't have our own army with us or we'd really give you a bloody nose."

"We shall do that anyway," Neo-Saturn said.

"Sure you will.." Alrie said sarcastically.

Meanwhile back at the crystal palace.

"Maverick..just where are you going?" Sailor Saturn asked trying to catch up to Maverick's running down the corridor.

"I'm going to help the Guardians." Maverick said.

"You have responsibilities here," Sailor Saturn said. "If Queen Nehelenia should attack."

"She won't.." Maverick said.

"We don't absolutely know that!" she shouted as he gained speed.

"We're not going to lose this battle!" Maverick shouted and hurried to teleport.

Saturn stopped and gave up.

Seconds later Maverick appeared in the middle of the European camp. The troops were assembled and holding position. At his appearance they all looked on in surprise.

"Well..I believe it is the one known as Maverick.." the General said.

"Some reason you're not attacking General?" Maverick asked.

"We were ordered to stay in reserve by your Guardian Uranus said."

"LIAR!" Maverick shouted. "I know the truth..you coward..going to let us get bloodied and then you will just waltz in and declare victory..that how it's going to be..well I got news for you..if you don't get down there right now..you won't have victory! You'll lose..because without your support we won't be able to stop them all.." Maverick said. "Furthermore..if you do not head down right now.." he drew his sword. "I will attack each and every one of you..." he said.

"We outnumber you a million to one.." the General said.

"Doesn't matter.." Maverick said and blasted him. "The odds are getting better.." he said and turned towards the troops.

"Well?"

"Uh..with the Commanding General's unfortunate injury I believe command falls to me.." another officer said stepping forward. "We will move into action..now. Come on," he said to the troops and soon they were hurrying down the slope. Maverick watched them go and followed as they swept in and attacked the enemy army. Maverick dived into the fray and cut down some troops.

"I was just about to have them too.." Neo-Neptune snapped emerging from the melee.

"Come on you imbecile," Maverick said.

The two jumped over to where the other Guardians were standing.

"Oh..this changes things doesn't it?" Alrie said. "Well all right..let's figure this out..the intrepid Maverick isn't it? You shall fight me."

Maverick stood forward.

"Avictus..are you prepared for combat.." Neo-Saturn said.

"Very well..I prefer skilled opponents," Avictus said.

"I'm going to fight opium," Neptune said.

"You're what?" Neo-Neptune said.

"I want the floating head," Pluto said.

"Enjoy.." Neo-Uranus said.

"This seven intrigues me..." Neo-Neptune said.

"I've got shorty,"Neo-Uranus said.

"You will regret that!" The Aiver shouted.

"Golkum is my target," Neo-Pluto said.

"I guess..I'll just uh take the cyborg.." Saturn said.

"I've got handy,"Uranus said pointing at Retago.

"Oh..gee..no one wanted the cube.." Neo-Uranus said.

"Cube? What an annoyance.." Maverick said and fired a blast from his sword. A light beam exploded into the cube. It blew apart spilling goo everywhere.

"What? How did you?" Neptune said.

"I've run into enough of those in my lifetime..to know how to deal with one..' Maverick muttered and turned to Alrie. "I believe it is time.." he said. Alrie nodded.

Tuxedo Mask, now in human form woke up with a start.

"Serena!" He shouted.

"Calm down. It is not good for your health," came a voice. He turned to see Neo-Queen Serenity sitting beside him.

"Your highness.." he said in surprise.."Are you all right..I heard.."

"Don't worry about that. ..how are you feeling?" the Queen asked.

"Uh..better..I need to go," Tuxedo Mask said sitting up.

"No.." Queen Serenity said easing him down.

"But I have to go..I can't just sit here while the others are fighting."

"You have to..you need to recover," Queen Serenity said.

"But..I just..please...I need to get to her."

"Don't worry..your friends will come through for you..the Sailor Scouts have gone after her."

"Then who's protecting the city? I mean the Guardians are here right?"

"The city is well protected," Queen Serenity said. "By some forces you may not be able to plainly see. They are there however."

"But..how long do I have to stay here?"

"If you rest, only a few days we hope."

"All right..I trust you," Tuxedo Mask. "But Queen Neo-Serenity..I thought you had a breakdown."

"Like I said..forces that you may not be able to plainly see..." Neo-Queen Serenity said managing a small smile before walking out.

That's very odd. Here her daughter's up on that alien ship and she's down here talking to me calmly even after what she's been through. Or has she been through anything at all. I wonder....but she says rest, so I'll rest.

But I won't sleep. He thought to himself.

Meanwhile Sailor Saturn was walking into her room. She stopped and looked up at the ceiling which had a skylight inside it. She looked out to see the light reflecting off the crystal structure.

Then she closed her eyes and clenched her teeth as she brought on her powers. She peered into the future, the present, and the past at the same time, hoping things would come together. She did this for a few minutes before grimacing and letting out a small cry of pain. She fell to her knees and her eyes opened wide.

"Asteroid," she managed to say to herself before falling to the ground unconscious.

The four Sailor Scouts meanwhile were standing in a long grey cylinder of a hallway on the aline space ship.

"This must go on for miles.." Mars said looking both ways.

"Two point seven if this is right.." Mercury said studying her computer.

"Well we can breathe..." Jupiter said.

"And there's gravity.." Venus said.

The other three glanced at her.

"What..I know what gravity is.." she muttered.

"Are there any doors anywhere?" Mars asked looking around.

"Maybe farther down the corridor," Jupiter said.

"No..the doors are right here..we just can't see them," Mercury said looking at her visor. "They're seamless with the wall."

"Mercury..if they're seamless, how do you open them?" Venus asked.

"It appears the aliens don't need to open doors, merely pass through walls," Mercury said.

"Can we be sure that this isn't some illusion?" Mars asked.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure..this is real," Mercury said and moved over to a piece of wall.

"Behind here is a room, but as you can see.." she said and moved to rap her hand on the wall...it passed right through. She pulled it back in surprise. "Uh..it's solid?" she asked herself.

"It's partly an illusion," Mars said.

"Well..it appears that this material can change form when coming in contact with something..maybe living tissue." She stuck her hand through again. She held it there. Slowly the door opened even some more.

"How do you know that isn't some thing's mouth or something?" Venus asked. Mercury pulled her hand back in surprise.

"Uh good point.." she said.

"Some thing's mouth or something?" Jupiter asked with a grin.

"I said what I had to," Venus snapped.

"If this is a living creature though..it would be very strange," Mercury said. "I'll be honest with you..I have no idea what this is."

"We're doomed," Venus said.

"Mercury, they must have used power to use that beam thing of theirs," Mars said. "Can't you lock in on the power source or something?"

"Possibly..I was just thinking about that," Mercury said and typed some commands into her computer. We might be able to follow power flow."

"We still have to risk being eaten every time we open a door," Venus said.

"Guess it's a risk we have to take," Mars said.

The others nodded.

"There appears to be a major power source just down the hall.." Mercury said and headed that way. The others followed.

"For all we know this could be it's throat.." Venus said.

"Or it's butt.." Jupiter said with another grin.

"Do you two mind? This is bad enough.." Mars said.

"Hmm..there's something coming towards us.." Mercury said. The other three tensed.

"It could be food.." Venus said. "Or.."

Jupiter just glanced at her.

Mars took up a fighting stance.

"Uh oh.." Mercury said.

"What?" Mars said.

"The object's diameter is the same as this tube.." Mercury said. "And it is approaching at twenty five miles per hour."

"So we've got to bail..don't we?" Mars said.

"It is suggested," Mercury said. "Here is the nearest door. Oh..no.it's sped up..."

The object came racing at them.

The scouts all scrambled. Mars searched for a door on her side and jumped through when she apparently found one. Venus and Jupiter raced along the corridor trying to push their way through, until they finally found an door. Mercury stepped through the nearest one she could find as the object came by. She found herself sitting in a relatively barren room. She pulled out her communicator.

"Mars..come in?" she said. There was no answer. "Jupiter..Venus?"

Still none.

"Great..the communicators are always the first to go," she muttered.

Mars stood up to look at where she had ended up. She found herself looking right at circular bowl shaped object with a large white backboard.

"It kinda looks likes a toilet.." she said. "But..how could it be?"

Jupiter meanwhile was pulling herself from on top of Venus.

"That's all muscle I hope.." Venus snapped.

"It had better be.." Jupiter snapped back. The two stood up. Their eyes widened.

"What's that doing there?" Venus said looking at the structure sitting in front of them.

"No idea.." Jupiter said as the two both found themselves looking at Tokyo Tower.
