  • Respect the peace and quiet of others.
  • Don't make too much noise.              Please respect the others and animals.

Garbage

  • Never leave rubbish lying around.  Take all of your garbage home with you.
  • Don't throw garbage into rivers, ponds, or gutters, where animals might drink.

Plants

DO                                                                          DON'T
 
  • Always walk around fields if there is no path through.  If you walk across them, you may damage them.
  • Don't pull up flowers or plants.  It is destructive and illegal in some places.
  • Don't harm trees.  Don't break their branches. Don't carve your name in their bark.

Campfires

DO                                                                          DON'T
 
  • Keep the fire small, and be sure it is completely out before leaving the area. 
  • Don't start a campfire unless an adult is there to help.

Safety

DO                                                                          DON'T
 
  • Always walk on the side of the road that allows you to see any oncoming traffic.
  • Respect signs that say "Danger," or "No Trespassing," or "Keep out." 
  • Stay away from fences, empty buildings, and electrical equipment. 
  • Don't eat any berries, nuts, or mushrooms that grow in the wild.     They could be poisonous.
  • Don't drink water from wilderness  streams and creeks.

Animals and Insects

  • Stay away from wild animals and don't disturb the places where they live. 
  • Leave the bees, wasps, and hornets alone.
  • Beware of animals that may be dangerous.
  • Don't feed wild animals.
  • Don't chase animals. They may turn on you or injure themselves.
