Box trees, Eucalyptus spp. (family Myrtaceae), are called uk ijnyjiw in Uw Oykangand and ug ijnyjib in Uw Olkola.

One box tree common in central Cape York Peninsula is the glossy-leaved box, Eucalyptus chlorophylla. It is a smallish tree with a bright glossy green crown. The bark is rough to the small branches, box-type, and brown, grey or greyish-white in colour.
