B"H

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF KNESSET!

On Monday, July 31, your vote will determine who will be the next President of the State of Israel.

DON'T SAY YOU DIDN'T KNOW!!!

After five failed attempts to win elections, and an endless trail of "stinking maneuvers", Shimon Peres established the Peres Center for Peace.

Many questions have arisen concerning activities of the center:

  1. It appears that the Peres Center for Peace allocated 73% of its multi-million dollar budget to "operating expenses" (Globes, July 13). This is a violation of the laws regarding non-profit organizations.
  2. Apparently, over $1.5 million was paid in salaries to five directors of the NPO who mysteriously remained unnamed. To whom were these salaries paid?
  3. The Peres Center for Peace apparently did not list their foreign contributors, when the law requires full disclosure. Why?
  4. The Peres Center for Peace paid the law firm of Isaac Herzog, then a board member of the Center, and now the Israel Cabinet Secretary, over $1 million. Is this not a conflict of interests?
  5. It appears that the Peres Peace Center is on the advisory board of the Peace Technology Investment Fund Ltd., who purchased 3.3% ($60 million) shares of Pal-Tel (the Palestinian equivalent of Bezeq). (Haaretz, 24/6/99).
  6. One of the major shareholders in Pal-Tel is the Bin Laden Group of Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laben happens to be the #1 Most Wanted Terrorist on the USA list. Does the Peres Center ignore who his bedfellows are?

In the wake of the Weizman scandal, we urge you to vote for a candidate of integrity to represent the Jewish People and the State of Israel.
