| Apply acid conditioner to surfaces to be bonded.  It is better to overextend the etched area (e.g., proximal and lingual) rather than to be underextended.  For Herculite, apply etchant for 15 seconds. Be careful to avoid etching the adjacent tooth. Thoroughly wash off etchant with water.  Enamel surfaces are air dried and should appear frosted.  However, any dentin surfaces are NOT to be dessciated, but only blotted.

Brush OptiBond Solo Plus over all etched surfaces for 15 seconds.  Apply light curing for 30 seconds on the facial surface.  Repeat cure cycle from the lingual to insure bonding to proximal surface.

Apply dentin shade composite over proximal surface wrapping from lingual to the facial to maximize bonding retention. Add increments as needed followed by a 40-second curing cycle.

Keep in mind the antipated midline positon, allowing room for the enamel shade, and incisal shade, if appropriate.
