Vol. 29 Summary Ushio put on the armour of Ishikui and it really it unbelievable; it seemed to be gigantic, but as soon as Ushio put her on, it fit to his body at once and then he can’t stop the movements. It almost seems like this armour already knows, where he wants to direct it and when he decides to bend arms and legs. Then there also are the wriggling stones. It almost seems like it remembers when it used to be Ishikui! The Black Fires are obviously surprised, Ushio possesses such an armour, but they really won’t be impresses by it. Ushio wants to help Tora, who already is obviously exhausted, but Ushio gets wounded by them as well. But Tora gets a surprising help by the petrified Azafuse, who combine themselves to an amour for Tora on his body! They give him a superior force, if he carries them with him in the fight against Hakumen no Mono…! Tora can easily defeat the Black Fires with the help of his new armour, which consists of Azafuse. Ushio is amazed of Tora’s armous. After the armour isn’t needed anymore, it draws together to some kind of hoop. During the fight against Hakumen no Mono it will unfold again. Ushio remembers Tora, one year has passed now, since they met each other and as a matter of fact right there and points on the old warehouse… Ushio wants changes his clothes and looks at the ruins, which used to be his house. He finds a painting of him, which was suppose to be for Reiko; a portrait of her (when he helped her that time, she promised him, he can paint a portrait of her). But he never was able to complete this painting because of his duties. Suddenly it occurred to him, that he could finish the painting now and he looks for a brush and colours inside the rubbles. But he finds some other things as well: the transceiver, Tatsuya gave him; the rice balls, the dean gave him; the coat of Tokuno; the suit and the shoes, Jiemei’s mother gave him… All these things are his treasures! He would like to take along all of them, but he doesn’t want to loose them in the sea. So he decides to leave them here. After he finished the painting, he is ready to leave. He looks for Tora, but can’t find him outside. Then he sees, the door of the warehouse had been broken open. He goes inside and carefully steps down to the cellar and thinks to himself, if he wouldn’t have seen the door this day, he never would have met Tora. Suddenly he hears: “Is it a human…?”. Ushio sees Tora sitting on the spot, where he sat for 500 years. Ushio laughs, saying he would know, it’s him, but Tora repeats himself: “Is it a human…?”. Then Ushio begins to understand and throws the Spear to the wall, closely next to Tora. Then they play the scene of that time; when Ushio found him and pulls the Spear out of Tora’s shoulder… After that both really have to laugh. Tora says to Ushio, he was very good and now not so stupid anymore and Ushio says to Tora, he was very witty as well. Tora has to smile; he doesn’t know why, but when he stepped in here, he got this desire. Then he suddenly storms to Ushio to eat him and shouts “So let’s continue!”. Of course he gets hit on the head by Ushio with the Spear for that. Tora says snivelling, it wouldn’t be that way; he would have to eat him now, but Ushio replies very angry, this story wouldn’t end like this…^-^ Tora rubs his head and says to Ushio, that he has change very much compared to one year ago. Now he masters the Spear of the Beast very good. But Ushio says, it’s now true. It would be Tora, who changed. Tora replies, he would be still the same, he hasn’t change at all, but Ushio only laughs and says, once Tora had asked him, if “life” means to be able to move and he asks Tora, if he thinks like this now as well…. Ushio goes out of the cellar and leaves a completely baffled Tora, who of course doesn’t understand, what Ushio tries to tell him. On this day a human and a monster set out for a long journey. Who of the two would have ever thought, not being able to return anymore…? In Okinawa at the sea of the island Hateruma the missiles on Kyotoha, a small base of attack, are being prepared. Their destination is the sea of Okinawa. There where they will rouse their biggest enemy… ….Reiko wonders about the package, she found on the threshold of their house entrance and on which is written “for Reiko Hanyu – Sorry for the delay – from Ushio Aotsuki”. It seems to be a painting. She doesn’t remember ever met an Aotsuki… She unwraps the package and sees, it’s a portrait of her. She has to smile, because it’s not particularly good painted… To her it’s a mysterious painting, but it’s painted with passion…! On the roof of the base of attack Kyotoha is Nagare Akiba waiting. Kyotoha moves now against Hakumen no Mono. But he doesn’t care about all is. What interests him are them… …Meanwhile Ushio and Tora are above the island of Kyushu. They already should been farther, but because Ushio wanted to give the painting to Reiko, they have lost time. What’s strange is, that Tora has to break through several little barriers again and again, since they have left for Okinawa. That’s why he has troubles to fly. Someone wants to hinder him and he can imagine, who it is… The barriers aren’t insuperable, but they let him loose time and they don’t know, if they will be there in time at midday. Ushio worries about his mother, but Tora is worried as well. He can’t fool himself, Hakumen will be woken up by the missiles. But he doesn’t want the rock column to be destroyed, which is quiet near to Ushio’s mother! And he worries about Mauyko, who surely is with Jiemei… Finally they have reached Kyotoha, where the submarines are. They have to hurry now and explain everything and they have to convince them, not to throw the torpedoes, so they won’t be deceived by Hakumen no Mono. If they throw off the torpedoes, his mother is dead and Hakumen no Mono finds himself in freedom again and returns to this world…! Just when they are about to land there, they see Nagare, who attacks them with his crescent moons. Ushio wants to know, why he hinders them. Nagare apologizes, telling Ushio the submarines are now setting out and will attack his mother… Tora is angry and attacks Nagare, but Ushio keeps them apart. Ushio still believes, it’s the fault of the serving monsters, Nagare turned against them. He says to Nagare, maybe he is possessed by the serving monsters. He just doesn’t believe, of all people Nagare could have betrayed him. Nagare only looks at Ushio silently, but then he starts to hit Ushio again and again, shouting no, no, no, no, no, no, no…! He asks Ushio, if he still doesn’t understand, he is a part of Hakumen no Mono now! Ushio is despaired, saying to Nagare, he won’t believe him and why he should be a part of the serving monsters. Nagare says, he would be sorry. He never told him, but he always desired to present at a certain scene. It will happen after the awaking of Hakumen no Mono: The total destruction of Japan! And he starts to laugh like a maniac. Tora tries to get Ushio out of being aghast and tells him, this isn’t the moment to discuss with Nagare. He came here to stop the submarines, which want to attack his mother and he doesn’t want to see the missiles hitting the rock column, which lies on the opposite of Hakumen no Mono. Ushio also has to save Mayuko and he thinks, Ushio has to go now…! At this moment the submarines start and Ushio really has to hurry now. Nagare is willing to let Ushio go. Before Ushio goes, he asks Tora not to kill Nagare. If he kills Nagare, he never could forgive him…! Then Ushio goes and leaves the two alone… Nagare is really happy about that, because he always wanted to fight against Tora… and they start… …Meanwhile Asako has recovered very well at Yumi’s, Katayama’s and Kagami’s place. She calls her parents to let them know she’s fine. They tell her, the Aotsuki house had been destroyed and they have heard, on the base of the navy where the submarines have been started three people have been seen… Asako wants to go to the Aotsuki house to see what happened by herself. So the four teenagers are making tracks. In the ruins of the house Asako finds a letter, which the doctors of H.A.M.M.R. auf written to Ushio. She reass it, suddenly she become despaired and wants to see Ushio unconditionally, because in the letter something is horrible written: The Spear of the Beasts takes the actual energy of the humans soul, which it uses. A certain quantity of energy is fixed. At a certain point this fixed quantity consumes itself. Probably in the course of the battle, when Ushio will oppose to Hakumen no Mono, the Spear of the Beasts will feel and urgent need to Ushio’s energy. His soul will be sucked up by the Spear of the Beasts during the last battle against Hakumen no Mono and he never will be able to return to his normal life again…! Asako runs to a telephone booth to call the doctors of H.A.M.M.R. She wants to know from them, if it really is true, what’s written in the letter. Pavroty and Kestner send her to Okinawa to the base of the navy, so she can see him one more time… … Ushio has reached the commando hall and tries to make clear to the people there, why they mustn’t destroy the rock column, but of course no one won’t listen to him. So Ushio has no other choice then take Goro and his assistant Akabane as a hostage, who are technical engineers of the submarines (although Goro believes Ushio and helps him in the end…). Just before Ushio wants to set out with the two, Asako appears, who had been brought here by a helicopter of H.A.M.M.R.. She comes bursting to Ushio and throws him to the ground. She says, she won’t let him go. She has read the letter of the doctors of H.A.M.M.R., in which is written, he can’t have a normal life anymore because of the Spear of the Beats. Asako is despaired. She cries and tells him to stay human, because she always wants to life with him! Ushio smiles at her, saying he feels relieved, she is alive… and he gets up to step into the submarine, even if Asako asks him not to go. Asako gives something to him, the doctors of H.A.M.M.R. gave her. It’s a small Kirlian machine, which makes it possible to control distances. Besides she has a message for him: Before the missiles are thrown off by the submarines, he really has to save the O-Yakume. Ushio thanks Asako and gets into the submarine. Asako tells him through a small window, even if he will become a beast, he shall return alive. She hopes to see him again sound and unscathed… Ushio’s and Asako’s hands are touching through the glass and before the submarine submerges, Ushio tells Asako how much he loves her!... … While Nagare fights against Tora, he has to think about himself again and again… He sensed the sound of the wind in his ears. He can’t remember how long ago it had been… Even when he was a child, he realized very quickly, he is different from the other. Just like in school… No matter how hard the others worked, he always had been the better one. He examined every situation, until he found a conclusion. He never had to do something seriously. So his mother didn’t have to endure the trouble and the nastiness of the other boys. Besides she didn’t have to defend him against these idiots, who wanted to harm him. He never made any efforts and never felt the impulse to reach the goal. He can’t be defeated anymore and he doesn’t even feel rage. He doesn’t feel any happiness and he never gives up anything. The reason why he succeeds in doing everything is, because he never was able to amuse himself… And so he thought, he will change his boring life, if he becomes a fighting monk, if he fought against monsters. While he was thinking that, the wind kept on blowing deep in this heart…! Nagare is very strong and Tora doesn’t really seem to have a chance against him. Nagare beats up Tora easily and he enjoys it. He has to laught about Ushio, who thought, he would be a good boy. He says, the credit is entirely Hakumen no Mono’s; finally he could fight against Tora and he has to thank the messenger of Hakumen. She appeared to him, said her name would be Jiemei. But he knew, it’s Hakumen… She asked him, if he would like to be a part of Hakumen no Mono and at first he only laughed at her and wanted to drive away, but she didn’t let up and only said, her mistress knows everything. She knows about the wind blowing in his heart and who he would like to fight against… The incarnation of lightning and fire… Tora! And it’s true, he wanted to fight against him so badly, even if he belongs to the Kouhamei. So Ushio will understand as well, he is evil. They bothered him… Ushio’s good eyes. Ushio always has the expression, which believes in him. Ushio never tried to know his true nature. Ushio is an idiot, who always believes, what you tell him. Even if Ushio wouldn’t have left, he would have told Tora, not to kill him. Ushio had to leave at once and save his mother and instead he will destroy Tora now and Ushio will finally notice his true nature as well. Ushio will understand, he is a traitor of the worst kind… Tora starts to laugh and he understands… Nagare just can’t stand firm the look of Ushio… “Don’t look at me with those eyes… I’m not good, I’m evil…”, that’s the way it is, he asks Nagare. Tora laughs even louder, saying he makes him laugh; he would have to be a genius… Then Nagare drives completely mad and hits Tora like a maniac. But now Tora starts to unfold his real force and all weapons of the Kouhamei, Nagare used against Tora, don’t show any effect anymore. Tora is very angry and he asks Nagare, if he really believes, he could loose against a human, who betrayed his comrades and who is afraid of the eyes of a child. Because after all he is a monster. Nagare replies, it isn’t true, he is afraid of Ushio. He wants Ushio to know, who he really is. But Tora doesn’t believe him und says, he head a voice coming out of his soul, saying something different. The fact, Ushio doesn’t know him for what he is, tortures him… The two have a bloody fight. Then when Nagare seems to be at the end of his strength, Tora wants to end this fight and leave. Nagare won’t accept this and wants to go on fighting, but Tora tells him, he shall be good now and not get up anymore, he already would be half dead. Nagare doesn’t understand. For him the fight is over, if one of them is dead! Nagare collects his force, which concentrates in him to be able to destroy Tora for good. To save his own life, Tora now has no other choice, than break the promise, he gave Ushio… Next |
