| Vol. 32 Summary The fragments of the Spear of the Beasts follow the tracks of Hakumen no Mono. Thanks to the spear, Ushio has woken up out of his dream again, which lasted one moment. From now on I will follow Hakumen no Mono and fight him again. Sumako and Mayuko prepare themselves to lock in Hakumen once more with a new barrier… 07:45 pm in Tokyo: 4 hours had past, since Ushio disappeared in the sea and Hakumen no Mono had turned off above Okinawa. Since Hakumen has left the column, which shores up Japan, everything is collapsing. In Japan the earth shakes everywhere. Hakumen heads to North, to destroy the big city systematically. The region collapses by the passing through of Hakumen no Mono. Everything burns and now everything is black and smoky. The forced of the national safety can’t stop the march of the monster. Actually his speed and his strength are superior to them. Every defence is useless. Even the other monsters, who live in Japan, are sweeping away by Hakumen. They leave their homes and in a confrontation with Hakumen no Mono they are still weaker. Nothing seems to be possible against the terror of Japan. If somebody would have look down from they sky, he would see an expression of terror, which covers whole Japan. Every person is a face of terror, even the monsters faces. When everything already had been desperation and death, suddenly from Okinawa appear shining rays like shooting stars. Wonderful blue tails cross the black sky, storm in all directions. They have a strange form, which reminds a little bit of the invincible Spear of the Beasts… 10:15 pm province of Tokyo. Mikado. Place of refuge no. 8: Hundred of people stay there, Asako and her parents as well. Suddenly Asako watches the ceiling become transparent and thousands of shooting stars stream through the room. One of same changes the direction, turns to Asako, shoots through her head and destroys the monster, which has taken away her memory of Ushio. Now finally she has that memory back, the memory of her best friend and her one true love…! All the ones, who know Ushio and Tora, didn’t remember them anymore. The serving monsters have sucked out their memories of the two. Now, because the serving monsters had been destroyed, the got their memory back, thanks to one single fragment of the Spear of the Beasts, which now shines in protection of the Japanese people! But not only humans have gotten their memory back; the monsters as well… Meanwhile Ushio put on the armour of Ishikui and sets out, along with the monsters, to follow Hakumen no Mono… 12:38 am province of Hokkaido, Sapporo… Tora has to fight alone against Hakumen. It’s a bitter fight, Tora can’t win. Hakumen wounds Tora so heavy, by goring Toar with his own teeth, Tora faints…! 12:29 am province of Tokyo, Mikado, place of refuge no. 8: The shooting stars head back. Every single light flies up to the sky again. Every fragment is there, to remember Ushio and Tora again and now the head back to form the invincible Spear. All fragments turn to Ushio, who follows Hakumen no Mono, while hundreds of serving monsters try to prevent the last battle for the defence of the fatherland. In whole Japan people watch in every place of refuge the innumerable lights soaring up again to South, as well as the veil of the shadow, which tried to stop this return. The plan of the serving monster failed. Not even one single light could be stop… April 22. 10:14 pm. The sky above the island of Awaji: Meanwhile Ushio and the monsters have caught up Hakumen no Mono. The fragments of the Spear arrived as well and now start to fight Hakumen. During the fight Ushio spots Tora in the mouth of Hakumen, who’s still stuck between his teeth. Thanks to the attack of the ghost ship of Mikonji, Tora removes out of the mouth of Hakumen and falls into Ushio’s arms. Tora is badly wounded and doesn’t show any sign of life. Ushio is shocked and reproaches himself for letting Tora fight all alone against Hakumen. But then he pulls himself together. He knows, there is no time for crying, because he has to fight. He calls the Spear back to him, but to his and the other’s amazement, the fragments penetrate into Tora’s body. Out of his mouth comes out the Spear. It’s the Spear of the Beasts, the invincible weapon, born in the darkness out of the heart of a human…! 04:00 pm in a suburb of Tokyo: Hyō sits in a garden, thinking about Guren. During the battle over the buildings of the city Hyō was hit and he fell in a house garden. He was somehow rescued by a woman, an actress who doesn’t love her child. Suddenly Guren appears in front of the wounded monster slayer. The monster explains, that it left Hyō alive when it killed his family as it wanted to see how a man could become after a vital loss. Hyō takes out his mystical eye (His eye was replaced by a mystical one with true sight, after he lost it, when Guren injured him 15 years ago) and inserts it in the monster's throat. The monster bites Hyō's arm eating it, dismembering him and laughing at his madness. Too late Guren watches Hyō's now empty shirt: it’s full of warding scrolls. With a last ritual Hyō activates his mystical eye and the wards in the monster's stomach, burning the monster from inside. Hyō falls back while he sees in the mother and daughter his family, dying with a smile (we see the same scene again 15 years ago, when Hyō went back home from work. He was daydreaming about the present he was about to give to her daughter when he find that his home was full of blood and viscera. The last thing he saw with his right eye was the shoe of his daughter in the pool of blood. Then a monster leaped out of the shadows, striking him and taking away his bulb, fleeing away… But this time, when he knocks on the door, his wife and his daughter open it and welcome him warmly with a smile…!) "Mommy, mister is dead?" asks Kaori, the child. "No, he's now at home. Forever" replies the now loving woman… Next |
