My Mother by Wenona Gardner Sitting by the lagoon, listening to the water talk as it ran down the stones gave me such comfort. The Earth is alive and conscious to me. She is my mother. The only mother I have and will ever know. I would talk aloud to her and I knew she always heard me. Understood me. She is my family constant, stable, and consistent. And on Mother's Day, I have placed pink roses in Lake Michigan. Thanking her for being always there for me |
