Bull Run of 1998 - First Prediction

The main thrust of my eight years of painstaking research has been in providing long range forecast of how a share price will move. On 24th August 1998 I sent the predictions in the graph below to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir. This was because the media, especially foreign media, had very pessimistic news about the economic health of the emerging economies. As a result of my research I knew that a potential recovery was possible. I believe that Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir, used the predictions to time the Capital Controls and Exchange Controls. This was a brilliant and very shrewd move that ensured that the Malaysian economy was given the chance to recover.

The graph predicts that the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Composite Index movement was ripe for a recovery in September 1998. Had the Malaysian government not implemented the controls I believe the damaging influence of the currency speculators would have destroyed the emerging economies and the rest of the world.
