Disney is testing the waters for a re-release of NEWSIES and they are re-releasing NEWSIES this Friday, May 11th at the Baxter Theater in Louisville, KY, and the Charles Theater in Baltimore, MD. So, if you're in the area, check out NEWSIES on the BIG screen the way it was meant to be seen! Success here means more cities and the DVD!!!!! Post in every newsgroup, web site or message board you can find!!!! Write to the Louisville and Baltimore newspapers!!!

Word around Hollywood is that EQUILIBRIUM is one great movie according to audience reaction at test screenings! No release date is set yet for this sci-fi flick as the upcoming Actor's Strike will affect every studio's release strategy for the summer and fall! APRIL 13 - PSYCHO SEQUEL MINUS BALE
Yes, it's true. Canadian indie company, Lions Gate, has decided to go ahead with a sequel to AMERICAN PSYCHO to shoot this spring. Significantly, none of the original cast, director or writers will have anything to do with what Lions Gate hopes will become a 'franchise'.

Even though the North American release date has been pushed back to August, UK movie goers are still going to see CORELLI'S MANDOLIN on May 4th.
FEB 15 - CORELLI DELAYED FOR US
CAPT CORELLI'S MANDOLIN is moving to an August 2001 release date in the US. The UK is still expected to get it in May 2001. The delay is a good sign, hinting that Universal considers it Oscar material!
FEB 15 - VALENTINE FOR CHRISTIAN!
Moviegoers in the UK and around the world gave a great big Valentine's to Christian in the form of a nomination for Best British Actor for his performance in AMERICAN PSYCHO. Check out the awards here!

After 5 years since it was removed from the Disney catalogue and 9 years since its original release, Balehead fan power lobbied and got the NEWSIES CD remastered and back for sale - ironically on Christian's birthday! The New Year begins with a bang as Christian has been nominated for Best Actor by the London Film Critics Circle and by the Online Film Critics Society. The Online Film Critics chose Tom Hanks but Christian was absolutely thrilled that 2 prestigious critics groups nominated his performance in AMERICAN PSYCHO! Mary Harron was also nominated for Best Director by the London Film Critics Circle! Congrats Mary!
