Some Good Warm-up Tips
You should always warm-up before a performance and in this section I will tell you a few things to do to have a great perfomance and to be well warmed up for it.
Your Dance Instructor may provide a warm-up before the performance, but just in case they don't here are some really good tips.
Do 2 plies and a press-up, por de bras front and back and then balence. Do this in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th and then do this on the other side as well.
Do plenty of tendu's in 1st and 5th. Repeat your own combination several time and then repeat it on the other side.
Make sure you do your rond de jambe's en terre and en l'air several times.
Do a good barre and floor stretch.
Do alot of grand battements starting out low and working your way up.
Do fondu's and degases starting out slow and then working up your speed.
And do anything else you can think of to really warm yourself up.

Balence! Balence! Balence! This definately plays a key role in performing well. Try your balences in passe, arabesque, back attitude and balence it there for as long as you can. If you lose your balence get right back up and try it again. The key to balencing a long time is focusing on something directly in front of you.
