| Posted by Mike 14/3/2003 I'm going to upload one of BKS' minigames here soon. It's got a language select feature. English, Spanish and French. Basically, i want to test it, and see what the overall reaction is. I'll tell you more when i upload it in a day or two. If realised that the BKS screenshots have gotten all mixed up (between the final and beta). It should be fixed by the time you read this. The screenshots there are all from BKS' early development stage. Some of the areas you may see there are no longer in the final game, while other are still there but have been altered and updated. Posted by Mike 18/12/2002 I've got a couple of emails from people who wanted to download the BKS demo. Unfortunately, most of the demo components HAVE been taken down. But fortunately, BKSdemo3.zip IS still up. With the other Components down this one should works, but no guarantees. I've uploaded a handful of new screenshots and you should be able to access them at the Screenshots page. The Older shots are still up, so that you can compare the old to the new. ;) Posted by Mike 9/12/2002 Hmm...haven't updated for a while have i? Well sir...that's because i've been hard at work on BKS. That's right. Instead of sitting out sun baking...sipping wine glass after wine glass of coke until my skin gets all sore and flakey........ahh..ehhhh....where was i??... Anyway, i'll be uploading some Spankingly new BKS Screenshots which will show you exactly what has been happening. I'll also be uploading a small report on BKS' Statis. ;);) I'm also working on a BKS trailer for you all. It'll show you sneak previews of BKS in action, much like a regular movie trailer would. On the downside, i've had to take down a lot of files....including the BKS demo; basically because this server sux and not many people were able to download this files. HOWEVER, our good friend Dabreegster, has offered to host BKS for us on his super fast (reliable) server. So thumbs up to him. I'll probably be uploading the above files tomorrow. Posted by Mike 9/8/2002 I've tried to fix the links by uploading them to a new server but they appear to still not be working. I put up the original urls but some of them probably don't work. I'll have to find out why this is happening. Posted by Mike 24/5/2002 Ok. I had some complaints about BKSdemoPACK2 not working. So i re-uploaded it, and it should be working now. All the other packs should be working normal. Tell me if they don't. The final version of BKS is starting to slow down a bit. I've got a lot of work to do so i wont be able to spend too much time on it; at least for a week or two. Posted by Mike 18/4/2002 YES! YES! YEEEESSSSS!!!!! BKSdemo is up and ready for public release. To download it go here or click on download in our menu. There are 4 bits to it. All have to be downloaded and installed in the same directory, C:\BKSdemo . BKSdemo pack2 and 3 are fairly big (compared to the others), they range from 3 to 4 megabits. DOWNLOAD THE GAME NOW and make sure you post in our forum. I've noticed that a lot of people have been copying my pictures and animations. SO i'm stamping all of my creations with the letters BS (Banjo Series). If you see a pic this BS on it you cant copy it without my permision. If you ask nicely i'll give you a copy of the pic with no BS on it, but you have to give me credit for it. For this reason i've got rid of the CoOl jinjo that was at the bottom of this page. I'm goint to stamp him with my BS stamp. He'll be back up soon.And yes i did make this jinjo from scratch, so i have the right to call it my own. Posted by Mike 19/3/2002 I've added ONE new screenshot. Its Gruntilda's Space station Firing its cannon at Banjo Island. OH NO! Posted by Mike 11/3/2002 Well i send an email to all testing team members explaining what will be happening soon. If you didn't receive any email (because you changed address or for some other reason) please email me and i'll sort it out. The other thing i have to discuss is the first level in the demo. The level currently know as 'Forbidden Oceans' (know as file DX5 v1.0 )has started to stuff up. For some reason the boss level doesn't seem to wanna run. Ive consulted some friends and we're trying to see what wrong but i fear that i may have to release the demo withou the first level. I've already made the changes and replaced the level file with a dummy file. I basically did this so that the game will still run without the level ( when you enter the dummy level you'll be told that its a dummy plug and you'll be returned back to the main game). The thing IS; YOU can later download an updated version of the dummy plug and be able to play the level. But that's only if i get it fixed. If i can't fix the boss level, i'll probably release DX5 v1.1 which will be the level but without its boss. But i'm not sure if its just the Boss level that's stuffe up or the WHOLE file! Please take some time to download it and view it. Its in a zip so you'll need and uncompressor, like winzip. Extract the contents any where and run the .exe file. You can download it from the right panel or just click HERE. ENJOY |
