I really love conducting Naming Ceremonies, looking at happy, smiling faces on proud parents and grand-parents.
This is a joyful occasion to introduce a little soul into the community and to make people aware of their responsibilities in raising a child to it's full potential. The age of the child does not matter though most parents prefer to have this cereony within the first 2 years of the child's life.I feel it is not only up to the parents and God- parents but also up to all of us to embrace the wellfare of a child and to be there when help and assistance is needed.
The ceremony will be held preferably in a beautiful environment; a special area in a park, near a lake or beach or in the parent's own backyard where family and friends can gather to join in the celebration. Flowers play a big role and other children are encouraged to be there as well. Some parents love to cater afterwards for their guests with either a cake with the child's name on it or just drinks and snacks.
If there are God-parents it is good for them to be present as they will participate and help the parents of the child.
In preparation of the Naming Ceremony my Spirit Guides will give me a spiritual name for the child which will be significant in its meaning. My Spirit-Guides will then help me to write a Life-Reading for the parents about the child. This will help them to learn about their son's or daughter's strengths, weaknesses and talents.
Parents and God-parents will be presented with a certificate to remember this day by, for a long time to come.
Now that I have this internet site I can also offer the family the option of having a page in the " Garden of Names". An Internet page with a photo and an account of the Naming Ceremony can be a wonderful treat for the family and friends who may not have been able to attend the ceremony. Please have a look of the example page by clicking here and check with me if you would like further information.
I hope to see you one day during such a happy occasion. For further information please feel free to contact me through e-mail
