i decided to go on the cabbage soup diet again.  (<--click to see recipe and diet plan from last time)  i went to the grocery store and stocked up with veggies and other ingredients last night then prepared my soup for the week.  i knew that i wanted to diet again before we left for hong kong so i would have a fighting chance to fit into the clothes at the photography studio, but my decision to do it last night was spontaneous.  i didn't realize that the trip was coming up so quickly!  plus we had no plans for this coming weekend, no dinners are anything to attend, so i would be ok.  but if something does come up, my saturday diet day (steak and veggies) is an easier day to work with.
the last time i did this diet, i was spoiled by my mom and she prepared the soup and made up my meals for me.  this time, i had to chop and boil and watch the pot all night.  it was grueling, especially chopping up 6 onions!  my eyes were stinging like crazy and tears ran down my face like a faucet.  i was being particular too because i wanted to peel the skins of the tomatos and green peppers because it's harder to eat the thick skins, and chopped things nice and small.  hehe.  anyhow, i spent a couple of hours preparing, (including boiling time) and luckily all the ingredients fit perfectly in the large pot parkin had.  but instead of just one chicken bouillon cube, i used 2.  i wonder if that's going to make a difference, soup healthiness wise.  i am allowed to add extra spices to the recipe to make it taste better... is bouillon a spice?
unfortunately watermelon season is over so no sweet watermelon, but i have apples, pears, and kiwi to munch on today as well as two large tuperware containers of soup.  i'm having some right now, and it's really oniony.  haha.
i weighed in at 134lbs this morning and like last time, i'll keep a log here.  the last time i did this diet, when i started it, i weighed 138lbs.  after i finished the diet, i shed 7-8 lbs but gained back 3.  i was able to maintain the weightloss tho and have been 134-135 for the past couple of months.  yay.  the second time doing the diet is harder, i hear, so we'll see if it works as well.  losing 7lbs in 7 days is a miracle i think. ;)  this time tho, i'll be continuing with workouts at the gym with my workout guru parkin, so we'll see if that makes a difference.  last time was just the diet and no activity.

last night i was flipping through one of my wedding magazines and lo and behold, HOUSE OF BRIDES, the company where i ordered and purchased my wedding gown.  there was a phone number, address, and link to the website!  well, if you had read before, i was apprehensive about the site because i wasn't sure if it was a legitamit (sp?) business.  and even tho ty checked it out for me, i still wasn't sure deep down if it was a scam, but when i saw their advertisement in the magazine, i felt a lot better. yay.  i get to start concentrating on bridesmaids dresses now.  i've been looking for cake designs too, but not much sucess with looking thru magazines.  i'll have to find some sites.

t minus 14 days til our trip to hong kong
