SYNOPSIS
In his years at Roosevelt High a decade earlier, Kevin Keegan had been a talented but disruptive student who found the regimentation and discipline stifling. Now he was back, at the request of his former journalism teacher, Emilie Walker, attempting to instill some of his passion for journalism into a new generation of high school kids.
Recently divorced and looking for a new direction in his life, Kevin had traded in his job as a TV news photographer to teach - but not the way he had been taught. Instead of a high school newspaper, his students produced a weekly cable TV news show, using video equipment donated to the school. Emilie gave him her full support, which he did not receive from the Principal, Edward Steadman. Steadman was a rigid disciplinarian who remembered Kevin's school days all too well.
After overcoming their initial skepticism, Kevin's students became creative and enthusiastic reporters, producing both light and serious pieces about their world.
