| For the last two years, I have had a special friend that I helped care for... Her name was Edith and she was 91 years old. She had alzheimers,diabetes, and heart problems as well as arthritis.. .But for all her problems.. she had a HUGE heart and could sing a mean Dutch Christmas Carole and knew all the words to "Bicycle Built for Two"... She told some wonderful stories, had a beautiful smile, and she kept her word to me... she promised she would "stay" for Christmas... She died Dec.27,2001 Edith was a very beautiful lady with a wonderful soul and we all miss her VERY much. Please, do me a favor... hum the tune "Bicycle Built for Two" and send a little prayer her way.. she was truly a very special lady who will be missed beyond words. Thanks .. Deb |
