Airboats & Gators If it was going to rain in Daytona, fine!  We just headed back to Longwood for an airboat ride on Lake Jessup to hunt for alligators. We boarded the airboat, put on head gear to save our ears from the propeller noise & headed out onto the lake & back-country swamps.  After being at the races & that engine noise, the airboat was quiet!

This lake has over 10,000 alligators, so it didn't take too long to find the first one. Look close or click to enlarge & you'll see him. Click on a Photo to Make Gators Even Bigger!

Cameron could have jumped out of the boat right onto their backs!  They were close & were easily 10' or more.

This I heard Cameron say to Paul, his dad, when he called him after the airboat ride, "We went so fast that my lips wrapped around the back of my head!"

That look on Cameron's face in the picture to the upper right was caused when this guy started chasing us!
