A Little More of Our Favorite Cars & then The ROLEX 24 Hour Race

Kodak, number 54, was the overal winner in the race.  As you can see, by enlarging, they take a real beating over the course of 24 hours.  It's hard to believe it's even the same car!

This is one of the other cars in the Brumos Porshe Team that Liz & I like.

I have to give credit for the close-up track photos to the professional photographers that work the race.  They have massive lens that put you right inside the car & can go to areas of the track we can't.

At 1:00 Saturday the race began, the end will come at 1:00 on Sunday!  We were in the top row of the bleachers overlooking one of the infield turns.  As you can see by enlarging the photo below, there is no one in the grandstand area.  The show is on the infield!

We spent the next couple hours walking around to different bleachers on the infield.  But, by 3:00, the rains began.  Slow at first, but soon very hard. The race continued, however we left & had to resign ourselves to watch it at the hotel room.

We did go out to a seafood restaurant again, but this one, by plan, had a big screen TV with the race on.  It seems that Midwest Cameron has had his fill of seafood, he actually had a bowl of spagetti! Even with the rain & early end at the track, it was a great day as we had been at the track since 8:00 am with some Krispy Kremes.  Yes, that's a race watcher's breakfast!

They finally had to stop the race for 3 hours at 7:15 on Sunday morning as the rain & wind were too dangerous to drive!
