» CHAPTER EIGHT «

Next morning...
Alexis awoke in a nervous wreck, remembering what happened with her and Brian. As she gets dressed, she talks with Katie about her dilemma.

"What do you think I should do?" Alexis says with desperation in her voice.

"Well I think you should find out if it was just a kiss or something more," Katie says.

"I think it was just some mis communication," Alexis replies.

"I just think you need to really think about it. To me it seems there could be something more. You've been waiting for a guy like him for so long and now he's here, but you just are letting him pass you by."

“I guess I need to give it a little thought," Alexis says a little unsure now that Katie brought it up.

"So what's up with you Nicky Boy?"

"Well.. I kinda like him, but I don't know how he thinks of me. I'm going shopping with my mom tomorrow night and just chilling tonight. You?"

"I think I'm just gonna chill too," Alexis replies as they go to breakfast.

Noon...
"So that's two cheeses, one with extra cheese and two pizzas with everything on it," the waitress at Pizza Hut says.

"What is everyone doing tonight?" Kevin asks the group of seven.

"Me and D are going clubbing! If anyone wants to join us, feel free!" AJ says excitedly.

"I think I'm gonna hit the stores," Brian says not having any eye contact with the group.

Everyone notices the tension and awkwardness between Brian and Alexis.

"What about you Alexis?" Kevin asks the very quiet Alexis.

"Ummmmmmm...... I think I'm just gonna pig out and watch movies in my room," Alexis replies.

"Oh no honey!!! You are coming with me and that's the end of discussion," AJ says ignoring the look on Alexis's face.

"Well I know what I'm gonna do. I'm going on a date," Nick adds.

"Oooooooooo. Who’s the unlucky lady?" Howard jokes.

"Hahaha, funny! I'm going with............ Katie?" Nick says a little bashful.

"Yes, I guess," Katie says a little embarrassed but inside jumping for joy.

"I guess I'll go with Brian if I HAVE too," Kevin jokes.

"Ok whatever," Brian says with no emotion.

That night...
"AJ, I don't wanna go!!!" Alexis almost screams.

"I don't care. You are coming! Come on it's gonna be fun," AJ persists.

"Fine fine I'm tired of arguing with you," Alexis gives in as she walks out the door with AJ and Howie.

At the club...
"Having fun?" some guy asks Alexis as she sits at the bar.

"Yea, it's a blast," Alexis replies trying to make the best of a boring evening.

"My name is Trey," the guy says.

"Alexis," Alexis says smiling for the first time that night.

"Wanna dance?" Trey asks.

"Sure, Love to!" Alexis says.

Maybe this will get Brian off my mind, she thinks. After dancing the night away, Trey takes Alexis back to the hotel because AJ and Howie wanted to stay.

When she is about to get out of the car, Trey leans in for a kiss. During the kiss, Alexis realizes how much she loves Brian.

"Ummm... I gotta go! umm...I probably won't see you again because I'm leaving tomorrow! But I had sooo much fun!" Alexis lied.

Back at the hotel...
"I had the best time tonight!!" Katie says.

"Ya, me too,” Nick says.

As Nick walks her to the door, he lowers his head to kiss Katie on the lips. They kissed passionately and then say goodnight.

Next evening...
Katie is shopping with her mom while the guys excluding Brian went to a movie that Brian had already seen. Alexis thought everyone was gone, so she decided to go chill by the pool.

As Brian gets the same idea, he walks down to the pool area and spots a major hottie by the pool. He decides to go talk to her.

"Hey cutie! My name is B-rok," Brian introduces himself suddenly realizes that it's Alexis.

"Oh! Hi Alexis," Brian says a little embarrassed.

"Look Brian. We need to talk bout what happened yesterday! I mean I don't know how I feel. I'm so confused. I'm wondering how you feel, but then I don't want to know. How do you feel? Wait don't tell me......."

"Alexis!!! Calm down!!!" Brian yells.

"I can't!! It's just... just that.. I have to tell you. Brian, I love you!!!" Alexis screams quickly as she stands up.

"I don't know if.. wait.. ummm, Alexis , I.." Brian says as he reaches for her hand.

She pulls back and causes him to fall into the pool. Alexis runs back to her room as Brian slowly gets out.

"But..... I love you too!!!" Brian says.
