» PROLOGUE «

Alexis Marie Parker: blue eyes, 5'7", tan, light brown long hair, skinny, 19 years old, attends Vanderbuilt College

Katie Jones: green eyes, blond, 5'9", skinny, 17 years old, attends high school

March 1993:

"Lauren, I'm sorry, but I have to leave. I know this isn't the best time to leave, but I just have to," said Nick sadly.

"Why do you have to leave now right when I need you? I mean come on my parents are getting a divorce, just when I need you. Is your career more important then your best friend?" Lauren said.

"But Lauren I have to follow my dreams and if I don't I'll regret it. I'm sorry, Lauren," Nick said as the car honked once more.

 Lauren stares at him without saying anything.

"I have to go. Promise to write and call ya," Nick says.

"Yeah, sure. Bye," Lauren said sarcastically. As she turned around, she quietly said looking at Katie "At least I have one true friend."

Katie Jones was standing there the whole time while Nick and Lauren were fighting. Over the years, the calls never came and the letters were never sent, and she hated  Nick for that. She never wanted to see him again, but destiny would bring them together once again.
