Mandrake:Place a whole mandrake root on the mantel in the home to give the house protection, fertility, love, health, and prosperity. The scent of the mandrake causes sleep. Mandrake is also hung on the headboard for protection during sleep. Carry it to attract love. Demons cannot reside where there is mandrake so the root is used in exorcism. To 'activate' a dried mandrake root, (bring its powers out of hibernation), place it in some prominent location in the house and leave it there undisturbed for three days.
