| NEWS 2004 click here to view news from 2003 JUNE 6/15 - Look for Bexarametric's original score "Nitrous Theme" to be featured in the Need For Speed Underground trailer for the upcoming arcade version of the popular game. The score has been completed and will be in advertising rotation prior to the game's expected release date in fall 2004. 6/07 - "The Windmill Sessions" is featured in Unreal Tournament 2004 in the CTF Phase Shift level. This is the second Bexarametric track featured in Unreal Tournament 2004 and is his second collaboration will UT2K4 mapper Rachel Cordone. MAY 5/25 - Bexarametric is currently writing three new tracks that should be available for download in the coming days. In the mean time here's a fun link that shows the addition of Bexarametric's name in the credits of Unreal Tournament 2004 development team. 5/24 - The Unreal Tournament 2004 community bonus pack, which features the highly acclaimed Bexarametric track "Extinction Clinic," is now avaiable for download. For all Unreal-heads click here. 5/14 - Congratulations to Kevin Deal, who graduated today with a bachelor of science degree from Texas State University in Geographic Information Science. In other news the show tonight has been canceled due to an unprofessional move by the Caucus club in Austin. 5/8 - The highly acclaimed Bexarametric track "Extinction Clinic" will be featured in the next Unreal Tournament 2004 add on. The pack is set to release within the next quarter. The video game version will be slightly different from the original and will be the background music for one of the new levels. 5/7 - Bexarametric is mentioned in the latest issue of Grooves Magazine. The international publication describes his live performance: "This act, consisting of Kevin Deal, throws down the most impressive hash of thick, post-industrial beats and dark atmospheres this side of Gridlock. The hour set is as frenetic as Kid 606, but as dreamy as Marumari." The current issue (no. 13) also features Funkstorung and Vladislav Delay. MARCH 03/30 - The wma versions of Bexarametric's live PA performance on 89.9FM KTSW's Sunday night Deck Support Show is available here for stream and here for download. 03/29 - Bexarametric played a 2 hour live PA set last night on 89.9 FM KTSW's show Deck Support. The show was followed with a 10 minute interview. According to the chatroom everything sounded great last night. For a full set list click here. The set will be posted on ACIDplanet by the end of the week. 03/21 - Bexarametric will be performing a two-hour live PA set on 89.9 FM KTSW (Texas State University) in San Marcos, TX on Sunday March 28. The radio performance can be heard live world wide here. The performance will be from 8-10PM central time. -6hrs GMT. 03/14 - Bexarametric will be performing at the next Teleportdoor Showcase in Austin, TX on Saturday April 3 at The Caucus in Austin. Check with the Live Dates section for more information. The Teleportdoor SXSW showcase was a huge hit. The party went into the early hours of the morning. About 300 people came to the show last night. Jakarta Jack's was packed while Bexarametric, Portal, Derelikt, Matt-E, Janus and Unmask performed from 9PM-4AM. 03/06 - The location for the March 13 Teleportdoor SXSW showcase has changed due to scheduling conflicts. The date and time are still the same though. Instead of throwing the show at The Caucus, it will be held at Jakarta Jack's 501 E. 6th st, right above the Coyote Ugly bar. The official lineup includes Bexarametric (12AM), Portal (2AM), Derelikt (11PM), Matt-E (10PM), Janus (9:30PM), Unmask (9PM). The visuals will be provided by ACLM. For the official press release click here. 03/01 - Bexarametric will be headlining at SXSW (South by Southwest) at the Teleportdoor.com Showcase 2004 on March 13 at The Caucus in Austin, Texas. The show starts at 9PM and will feature special guests Derelikt and Portal. Go to see the live dates for more information. The Bex Idm LP is about 75% finished. The only songs that are left for mixing and mastering is "The Right Time." "It's Not So Simple," and "Robust Suborbital Filter Jazz." FEBRUARY 02/07 - Video, audio and pictures will be posted very soon from the Bexarametric performance last night at The Supplement Showcase. About 200+ people were on hand to be entertained. Special guests during the set included Willis Dyer on vocals and Brent Farriss on contra bass. The performance was recorded onto minidisc and high quality camcorders. Once the editing is finished, the footage will be posted. Cadaocao Studio has been busy lately. Four tracks from Bex Idm have now been finished. "Bex Idm," "Terlingua," "Choropleth," and "7 Layer Modulator" have all been mixed and mastered. 02/01 - Bexarametric recently remixed the famous Radiohead track "Idioteque." JANUARY 01/20 - "Terlingua," which is set to appear on the upcoming Bex Idm LP, debuted at number 7 on the top 11 charts on New Zealand's Control 99.4FM on the Kickback Show. 01/18 - Studio Update: "7Layer Modulator" and "Choropleth" are almost completely finished being mixed down. The basslines to both tracks have been retweaked and are sounding pretty good. 01/10 - The first day in the studio went well. These tracks include: "Johnny The Robot's Revenge," "Normalized," "Concorde Serenade," "Elevate" and more. The EP will also feature a few remixes by Dave Patrick (Paragram), Clark Crawford (Mr. Harten) and Burt Morton. 01/09 - Tomorrow is the first official day in Cadaocao Studios for Bexarametric and Clark Crawford to begin work on the next Bexarametric album. The Bexarametric Pressure LP is now available to purchase on Apple's iTunes online music service. You can purchase songs individually for 99 cents. Look for more online services, such as Rhapsody and Napster, to start selling the Bexarametric Pressure LP in the near future. Bexarametric is confirmed to appear at the Supplement show on Feb 6 in Austin, TX at The House of the Friendly Ghost. Bexarametric will perform four 30 minute sets over the course of the night. There are plans in motion for Bexarametric to appear at a two-day rave in Monterrey, Mexico March 19 and 20. Check back for more details. 01/03 - Bexarametric will be performing live at Pease Park in Austin on February 14 from 4:30 PM until 6PM. The event starts at noon. Come and support the other artists. 01/01 - Happy New Year from Bexarametric Online. We will busy trying to please the masses in 2004. It's a special year indeed. Before 2005 it will be entirely possible to see two new Bexarametric releases along with the anticipated Paragram release. Aaron Cason will be appearing on Bexarametric's upcoming track "Autudel." This is the second track that Kevin and Aaron have worked on. The instrumental demo version of "Autudel is already available on ACIDplanet.com. Bexarametric will be releasing a five song ambient EP on ACIDplanet.com in the next month or so. An ambient version of the highly acclaimed track "Autudel" will be available. |
