Urban Justice report: "According to an OCFS official, 'The problem might be staff. All you need is a high school diploma.Yesterday you worked at Walmart; today you are a childcare worker.' This comment implies that strong training component is missing and that credentials required to work with youth in the juvenile justice system are minimal."There is a lack of mutual respect from staff and youth, while in custody. Pretense of superiority from the staff because they have "power" over someone, only humiliate and denigrate this children. Such discriminative feelings and behaviors will only be stopped until someone with more "power" enforce the constitution of this country where no one is singled-out. I utterly encourage any person to join with me to advocate in this campaign against discrimination, for the safety of children and youth, without regard of their ethnicity, origins, religion, creed, color, but not limited to sex, sexual identity and/or gender identity. Vile and open discrimination, against LGBT youth in the juvenile justice system, has been documented, despite there have been no efforts to address such issues at a court of the law. It would be almost impossible to mention all the trauma and abused LGBT are subjected at the government agency OCFS. These are adolescents in the desperate necessity of the help of people such as lawyers or any person who have a good heart, and is willing to advocate for their wealth and safety. Any person who has been discriminated by such system is welcome to join me to file an anti-discriminatory lawsuit. OCFS is an agency run by the government of the state of New York, which by no means should permit or encourage in any way, any type of discrimination.
