Dear Parents,

In an effort to facilitate communication between students, parents, and myself and to reduce the number of missed assignments, I have created a webpage designed to inform students and parents alike of our daily assignments in ELP. The Daily Assignment Page will list class activities, test and quiz dates, homework assignment(s), for each day, as well as general announcements. This page will help parents monitor their child’s completion of homework and study habits; it will also enable students to easily access assignments missed due to an absence. Please note that this webpage is NOT designed to take the place of writing down homework assignments, test dates, or other information given in class. OTHER COMMENTS REGARDING MAKEUP WORK

Upon return from an absence students may also check the Makeup Notebook to obtain missed assignments, test and quiz announcements, and class activities. However, it is the responsibility of each student to be proactive in this endeavor. Each student must check the notebook and approach the teacher for any handouts that may have been missed due to an absence. Failure to do so will result in the student not getting the assignment; thus, the student will receive a zero on any assignment not turned in. In short, please encourage your child to be proactive in retrieving assignments missed due to absences.

If a student misses class the day an assignment is due, it is the responsibility of the student to turn in the assignment the day he/she returns from an absence. Again, failure to do so will result in a zero for each assignment not turned in.
