B. Socialism is based on idea that power and ownsership of society belong
to the common people.
1. the working class (proletariat) should
violently revolt.
2. the capitalist ruling class (bourgeoisie)
would be replaced by the state.
C. Socialist Thought
1. Competition - little real competition
exists. Businesses dictate what people buy (advertising).
2.Private Property- owners use property to
take advantage of others. Govt. counld decide how to use property
to benefit many, rather
than a few.
3. Price - control prices to produce equality and
protect workers
