8.29.00 - Sunset from my room one day

12.15.00 - Rosa bhurd and me at her housewarming party

One of the Blue Bear glasses. ^_^

So many things going on it doesn't seem like the end of the year is coming tomorrow. This week has just kept me so occupied, but I can tell you that come New Year's Eve I will just be relaxing and chillin at home. A very low key event..just the way I want it.

I've felt so special lately. I've gotten so many packages and cards in the mail this past week. It started off with the box of Christmas cookies my relatives in Boston sent me. Then I got cards from my friends Judy, Jamie, Donna, and my Aunt Sylvia. I then got my Old Navy order, and, most importantly, my Christmas present from Grant.

Gosh, talk about complex. It consisted of 5 separate, numbered items packed tightly in newspaper. I then had to open each item, in order, with Grant on the phone. Here's what he got me:
1. Two pairs of chopsticks. [hehe. I guess he didn't want to hear my bitching anymore. lol.]
2. Tarepanda Notebook
3. Morning Glory Photo albums that I asked him to buy so I could be consistent in my collection
4. [The Main present] A set of 4 glasses that he etched with different pictures of Blue Bear and Tarepanda. [so cute!]
5. A book of poems entitled I Keep Falling in Love with You. =)

Today, I ended the week with another package, from Dave, who got me the one book that I really wanted: Ten Thousand Sorrows. Dave is so sweet, and he's a great cook too! =)

With Dave's present also came my last two video tapes of Gaeul DongHwa episodes that my dad recorded for me. All I have to do now is get a vcr. The good roommate and I have had a long discussion about this topic. Originally, the evil roommate had said that she would buy it after the good roommate got the couch and stuff from her friend. Here it is over a month later and still nothing. The good roommate and I were considereing getting a dvd player since that's obviously a better quality item and we could get a deal on one. However, the evil roommate thought it would be too expensive and frivolous. We decided a vcr would be better anyway since we could then rent Korean videos and play them. hehe. So the good roommate and I went to good guys one day just to check them out. We found a few good deals and called the evil roommate to let her know. Then she goes and says that we should pick any one that we thought was a good deal and she'd "chip in for it". WTF?! Fuck, I hate people who go back on their words. The good roommate was getting hella pissed since she thinks the other one hasn't bought shit for the apt, which is pretty true to some extent. erk. So yeah, I'm thinking of getting one soon...and now I have the motivation. I HAVE to finish this drama dang it! I was just left hanging last time! *drool* Song Seun Hun is so fine.

Anyway, last night I met up with Rose to go to a club down in San Jose. The bart ride down to Colma *shudder* was really nice. It was weird going in the opposite direction of what I'm used to, but the sunset was absolutely stunning. I wish I could've taken a picture. It looked like the sky was bleeding or like it was extremely angry. It was THAT red. It would've almost been scary if it wasn't so beautiful. =)

Clubbing was really fun. I haven't been to a club since Avaron, and I haven't been to a club that played hip hop since...hmmm...July 3rd?! Dang. haha. That was Brian's grad party at Zanzabar. Hmm, at least I think they played some hip hop. haha. Personally I like house and trance music better [it reminds me of kpop more] but apparently i dance better to hip hop. haha. I haven't quite mastered the art of raving...or whatever. We went to Club 369 in San Jose and it was pretty cool. It was me, Rose, Micah [from hs], Monette [rose's friend], and Monette's cousin. Mental note: must get plenty buzzed earlier to feel comfortable and more carefree when dancing. heh. Ended up dancing with 2 random flip guys. I must've rubbed the first one the right way because he kept complimenting me on my dancing. fucker. I didn't let my torturous experience freaking black military guys at World's go to waste. I did learn something gosh dammit. ugh. Years of hip hop [rose's favorite] apparently still has some affect on me. *shrug* So yeah, anyway, I learned I was seriously out of shape and experienced pain on occasion. haha. Freaking Micah was fun though. Too bad he's a bit too short. Plus he's a dork. Pity. ;P

I always sleep in the car on the way back from a club. I can't help it. I'm always tired on Fridays and Saturdays. Come Sunday I find it hard to fall asleep early to get ready for work. Damnit. But yes, I had plenty fun. I really wish Grant was there. I wouldn't mind freaking him. heehee. ^_~

So here I am, back home. Planning to read my books. I have the one that Lester got me for xmas that I started this past week, Quiet Odyssey: A Pioneer Korean Woman in America. Its proving to be really interesting, especially since i don't know much about the Korean immigrants in North America. I've read a lot on Hawaii though. Its interesting to compare and contrast, and boy is it a lot more interesting when you're not forced to read it for school. =) Then I have the book of poems and the book Dave sent me. YAY! I like this feeling. I like feeling like I'm doing something fun and cozy at the same time. Maybe being home by myself isn't so bad after all. And tomorrow, when the rest of the world celebrates the beginning of the new millenium, I'll be here, watching tv, reading, cooking, cleaning, and updating. hehe. I mean, I can't just let one of my biggest years go by without reviewing it first right? lol gosh, pitiful no? hehee I'm not complaining though. ;P

love,
Christmasy Mars

Oh no, Arachnophobia is on. Do I dare watch? Do I enjoy the movie or do I watch it and freak out for the next few weeks living alone in this spider infested house. eek
