Seit dem ersten Blick unter Wasser ist dies etwas das mich nicht mehr losgelassen hat. Wir alle kennen Berichte aus dem Fernsehen über die Unterwasserwelt. Faszinierende Kreaturen und Landschaften werden dort beschrieben. Anfangs überwiegt meist das ungewisse wie ist alles in Ordnung mit der Ausrüstung, ist es nicht gefährlich oder gar die Angst und Panik dem Element Wasser ausgeliefert zu sein. Doch durch eine seriöse Ausbildung und vor allem nach jedem Tauchgang kann Sicherheit gewonnen werden und langsam aber sicher beginnt man einmalige Erfahrungen zu machen. Wie ist es dort unten ???

Es gibt kaum Geräusche unter Wasser - Wahrscheinlich das erste Mal im Leben hörst Du dir bewusst beim atmen zu, durch den Lungenautomaten. Du bist umgeben von Blautönen und kannst beobachten wie die Sonne durch dieses blau schimmert wenn Du dich auf den Rücken legst. Du bist wie schwerelos - du drehst dich in alle mögliche Richtungen, lässt dich treiben und kannst alles alles von unten, oben oder von der Seite erforschen. Um dich herum ist alles erfüllt mit Leben in verschieden Farben, manch eines dieser Lebewesen kommt näher um auch dich zu beobachten - andere wiederum tarnen sich um nicht aufzufallen.

Inmitten dieser wunderbaren Tierwelt bist Du selbst: Du bist fast ein Teil davon, auch wenn deine Zeit durch die mitgeführte Luft beschränkt ist und wo sonst kann auf unserem Planeten ein ähnliches Erlebnis noch geboten
werden ??? Wenn Du nach einer Stunde wieder auftauchst, liegt ein Abenteuer mit unglaubliche Intensität hinter Dir und die Erinnerungen sind wunderschön. Ich kenne kein vergleichbares Erlebnis wo man der Natur so nahe ist und es gibt noch so viel zu entdecken....

Die folgenden Abschnitte sind meinen persönlichen Tauchplätzen und Erfahrungen gewidmet. Es gibt einige Fotos und ein kleines Lexikon der Tiere. Wer noch nie getaucht hat, sollte dies unbedingt versuchen und vielleicht nicht gerade beim ersten Versuch aufgeben, denn je grösser die Erfahrung desto schöner, sicherer und intensiver gestalten sich die Tauchgänge.

TAUCHEN in THAILAND

Hin Daeng / Hin Muang
Lage/Preis:	Tagesausflüge mit dem Speedboot ab Phi Phi ab CHF 60.00 pro Tauchgang Tagesausflüge ab Ko Lanta ab CHF 45.00 pro Tauchgang
Was ich gesehen habe	Absolut fantastisch einmal von Koh Lanta - beim abtauchen taucht ein Grauhai gerade weg, danach entlang des Riffes mit durchtauchen von Höhlen (teils ziemlich eng), Barrakudas und beim zweiten Tauchgang in Hing Muang gibt sich ein Manta Rochen die Ehre wenn auch nur für kurze Zeit. Das zweite Mal von Phi Phi aus mit dem Speedboot bei Gewitter tauchen wir ab: Die Sicht ist mässig die pinkfarbenen Korallen leuchten bedeutend weniger; eine Schule von Snappern gibt sich die Ehre und dann als wir wieder auftauchen wollen kommt der grosse Augenblick ein Walhai obwohl wir ihn nur kurz begleiten können bevor er wegtaucht ein unvergesslicher Anblick. Der zweite Tauchgang übertrifft das ganze noch wir schwimmen sicherlich insgesamt über 20- 30 Minuten mit verschiendenen Manta Rochen - wer dies einmal gemacht hat wird es nie mehr vergessen.
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Mittelschwerer Tauchplatz, isoliert, Sicht je nach Wetter und Jahreszeit sehr unterschiedlich, teils recht starke Strömung

King Cruiser / Shark Point

Was ich gesehen habe	Die ehemalige Fähre "King Cruiser" als Wrack, grosse Anzahl kleinerer Fische, Trumpetenfische, rosarote und pinkfarbene Korallen beim Shark Point
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Sicht zwischen 18 - 25 Meter tief, leichte Strömung, beliebter Tagesausflug

Anemone Riff / Koh Doe Mai (Blumeninsel)

Harrier Reef / Wonderland / Broken Patchens

Was ich gesehen habe	Fischschwärme, Korallen, Steinfisch
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	einfacher Tauchplatz, keine grosse Tiefen, teils Strömung und falls nicht nur im Buddyteam getaucht wird zahlt man nicht gerade wenig extra für den Divemaster

Hausriff Beach Safari / Egla/Kilo Tamania (Marsa Alam)
Lage/Preis:	Hausriff direkt vom Camp des Beach Safari Diving Center Egla etwas südlicher in Richtung Marsa Alam "Downtown" Kilo Tamania noch etwas südlicher von Egla Eine Woche unlimitiertes Tauchen mit eigener Ausrüstung ab 500.00 / Mit Miete der Ausrüstung ab 650.00 bis 700.00 CHF mit ca. 18 -21 Tauchgänge
Was ich gesehen habe	Schildkröten, Adlerrochen, diverse Rochenarten, unglaublich viele Korallen- und Kleinfischarten
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Egla und Kilo Tamania sind nette und einfache Tauchplätze die sich beide auch für Nachttauchgänge eignen mit einer grossen Artenvielfalt Das Hausriffe des Camps ist ein Fortgeschrittener Tauchplatz nur zugänglich bei wenig Wind, teils starke Strömung, Einstiegs via Chanels an denen ein Seil zur Hilfe gespannt ist.

Gebel Rosas / Marsa Dabbab / Abu Shashli (Marsa Alam)
Lage/Preis:	Gebel Rosas etwas nördlich vom Camps oder 16km von Marsa Alam (nördlich) Marsa Dabbab ca. 35km nördlich von Marsa Alam Abu Sashli ca. 40 km nördlich von Marsa Alam Eine Woche unlimitiertes Tauchen mit eigener Ausrüstung ab 500.00 / Mit Miete der Ausrüstung ab 650.00 bis 700.00 CHF mit ca. 18 -21 Tauchgänge
Was ich gesehen habe	Zebramuräne, Krokodilfische, Schildkröten, Barrakudas, Feuerfische
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Gebel Rosas und Marsa Dabbab relativ einfache Tauchgänge an denen eine regelrechte Fischsuppe zu sehen ist... In Gebel Rosas gibt es eine Höhle auf 10m Tiefe bleiben sonst verpasst man diese. Abu Shashli es gibt mehr Strömung und ein Seil an den man in diesen Tunnel reintauchen kann danach zum "verrückter Felsen" mit Feuerfischen, Makrelen und Krokodilfischen.

El Fanadir (Hurgadha)
Lage/Preis:	Etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Boot von Hurghada aus / etwa CHF 30 pro Tauchgang
Was ich gesehen habe	Feuerfisch, viele Mittaucher, Blaupunktrochen
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	einfacher Tauchplatz, Maximaltiefe etwa 20 - 25 Meter und es gibt mehr Taucher im Wasser als Fische

TAUCHEN in MEXIKO

Tortuga / El Baye
Lage/Preis:	Halbtagesausflüge mit einem kleinen Boot ab Playa del Carmen ab CHF 30.00 - 35.00 pro Tauchgang
Was ich gesehen habe	Bei beiden Spots ist die Sicht gut. In Tortuga gibt es wie der Name schon sagt jede Menge Schildkröten zu sehen (mind. 10 Stück) Jedoch sind die Korallen bereits stark angegriffen und beide Riffe haben nur eine mässige Grösse.
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Leichte Tauchplätze gut für Anfänger geeignet, es gibt etwas Strömung was die Tauchgänge kurz macht da die Riffe nicht allzu gross sind. Sicht zwischen 20 - 25 Meter.

Unterwasserhöhlen Gran Zenote und Taj Mahal Zenote
Lage/Preis:	Tagesausflug mit dem Auto und Höhlentauchguide ab Playa del Carmen oder Tulum ab CHF 60.00 - 70.00 pro Tauchgang
Was ich gesehen habe	Diese Unterwasserhöhlen, die im tropischen Regenwald liegen sind einmalig. Kristallklares Süsswasser, Stalaktitenformation und beeindruckende Lichtreflexe machen diese Tauchgänge unvergesslich. Man taucht ein in eine neue Welt ein, manchmal mischt sich Süsswasser mit Meerwasser, auf und ab durch kleinere oder grössere Höhlen und kann in einigen Höhlen gar ganz auftauchen.
Anmerkungen zum Tauchplatz	Mittelschwere Tauchgänge, die immer mit einem ausgebildeten Höhlentauch- guide gemacht werden sollten. Sicht soweit das Licht eindringt und die Länge der Höhle sind die einzigen Einschränkungen.

INTRODUCTION

Since my first view of the under water world, I couldn't resist to explore it more and more. Everyone knows reports in television about diving and the under water world. Fascinating creatures and stunning landscapes are the topics. The first dives are unique because you are in a new world. Not all experiences are positive you are may more afraid that everything is all right with the equipment and you got now idea what’s true or wrong about the dangerous animals or the pressure under water. But with a serious training and education you become slowly more safety and you will enter a "new world". How is it there below???

Probably for the first time in your life you will make the experience to hear yourself breathe through the lungs vending machine; in the rest of the ocean there is more or less no noise. You are surrounded by blue colors in different tones and if you lie on your back you can see the sun shimmer trough the water. That you are weightless is unbelievable you can turn or drift in all different directions and got all the different views from the side, top or bellow. Everything in the reef around you is full of different colors and some of the creatures are approaching you closer to have a look - others camouflage themselves that you hardly can see them.

You are a part of this wonderful world; till you need to leave it because you get out of air. Where else on our world can you made a similar experience ? When you are up again after one hour diving you had an adventure with an extremely intensity and some wonderful memories. I don't now any experience where you are so close to the nature and there is still so much left.....

In the following chapters I describe the dive grounds I’ve been and my experiences. There are some underwater pictures and a guide to some of the creatures of the sea. Personally I just suggest everybody to try it (DIVING) and don’t give up to early - you will enter a new world..........

DIVING in THAILAND

Hin Daeng/ Hin Muang

What i did see (sights)	Absolutely fantastic first time I came with the slow boat from Ko Lanta. As soon as we dive down a grey shark just disappears. Then diving along the reef trough caves (quite small) and a couple of barracudas are waiting for something... The second dive a manta ray can be seen for a short time. The second time from Phi Phi with the speedboat; the weather is very bad a thunderstorm above surface, but we jump in the water anyway for the dive. The sight is not as good and the purple soft corals are not shining as before. A school of jacks are around and as soon as we are on the way up a whale shark shows up. After a short time swimming with this fantastic creature it dives down. The second dive is even better the most time (approx. 20 - 30 minutes) we swim around with different manta rays something I want forget ever......
Remarks to the diveground	Advanced diving, sight deepends with the season, isolated from the mainland current medium to strong....

King Cruiser / Shark Point

Remarks to the diveground	Very famous for whalesharks and the guitar share some of the regular visitors of those reefs, advanced diving, mostly strong current

Bidah Nok / Garang Heng

What i did see (sights)	lepardshars, morays, triggerfish, butterflyfish
Remarks to the diveground	Visibility between 15 - 30 meter, caves, some current, almost guaranted to see lepard sharks

Remarks to the diveground	Cod Hole is one of the top dives sides worldwide with the attraction the grand potato cod / a lot of independent diving in buddy teams , current and placed in the middle of the ocean, high waves, visibility between 6 15 meter

Remarks to the diveground	As closer to cairns as more damaged are the reefs, current, night dives and underwater rocks, visibility between 6 15 meter

What i did see (sights)	fish swarms, corals, stonefish
Remarks to the diveground	simple dive ground, some current - for a dive master you need to pay extra (a lot) or just dive with your buddy

DIVING in EGYPT

Hausriff of the Beach Safari Camp / Egla /Kilo Tamania (Marsa Alam)
Location/Price	The houses reef is straight in front of the Camp of Beach Safari Diving Centre Egla a little big more south closer to Marsa Alam downtown Kilo Tamania 1km south of Egla One week unlimited diving with own equipment for US-Dollar 350.00 / inclusive rented diving equipment for 500 - 550.00 US-Dollar / 3 dives a day.
What i did see (sights)	Turtle, eagle rays, smaller rays and an unbelievable diversity of corals and small fishes.
Remarks to the diveground	Egla and Kilo Tamania are lovely and easy dive spots and good possibilities for night dives too with an big amount fishes and corals. The house reef of the camp is more for advanced divers and only possible to access with low wind, mostly strong current, there are ropes as help to entrance the channels.

Gebel Rosas / Marsa Dabbab / Abu Shashli (Marsa Alam)
Location/Price	Gebel Rosas is 16km north of Marsa Alam Marsa Dabbab is approximately. 35km north of Marsa Alam Abu Sashli is approximately 40 km north of Marsa Alam One week unlimited diving with own equipment for US-Dollar 350.00 / inclusive rented diving equipment for 500 - 550.00 US-Dollar / 3 dives a day
What i did see (sights)	zebra morane, crocodile fish, turtles, barracudas, Scorpion fish
Remarks to the diveground	Gebel Rosas and Marsa Dabbab are pretty simple dives where you can see a lot of different species of fish (fish soup) In Gebel Rosas is a nice cave don't miss it so stay at around 10m deep. Abu Shasli gets more current but a rope helps to dive into the channel after you will see the "crazy" Rock with Scorpionfish, tuna and crocodile fish

El Fanadir (Hurgadha)
Location/Price	Approximately 20 minutes with the boat from Hurgadha / more or less 20 US-Dollars a dive
What i did see (sights)	Scorpion fish, a lot of other diver, blue point ray
Remarks to the diveground	Simple dive, maximum deep 20 - 25 metres and there are probably more divers then fish in the water....

DIVING in MEXICO

Tortuga / El Baye

What i did see (sights)	As the name says in Tortuga there are many turtles to see (at least 10). Lot of the corals are damaged and the reefs are small, which make it very short dives.
Remarks to the diveground	Easy dives good for beginners. Visability up to 25metres.

What i did see (sights)	The underwater caves are located in the tropical rainforest and unique. Crystal clear fresh water, stalagmites and impressing light reflections will make those dives unforgettable. Diving here is very different compared with the ocean, up and down trough small or bigger caves, see the mixture of salt and fresh water at some points and in some caves you can even dive up to see the whole cave.
Remarks to the diveground	It is necessary to dive always with a certified cave dive guide and not a place for real beginners. The visability is only restricted by the lenght of the cave an the light is coming in.
