This assures that the business stays in our own communities.

A corporate sponsor is currently being solicited to assist in covering these costs. This arrangement has been successful in other Multiple Districts around the country.
What does it cost a Lions Club to have the KLMSU in their community?
The cost is $50.00 per working day for the Unit, and room and board for the driver while in their area. Room and board for the driver is arranged in local Lions homes or the club can pay for motel room and meals. This is an optional choice for the Club and driver to jointly decide prior to the KLMSU scheduled date's. If a proper electrical connection is not available, the Club pays an additional $25.00 for the use of the onboard generator.
Why do the Lions of Kansas have a KLMSU?
The reason for the KLMSU is to bring LIONS SERVICE TO OUR OWN COMMUNITIES. As proclaimed “KNIGHTS OF THE BLIND”, the Lions of Kansas are bringing to all communities of Kansas, a Kansas Lions sponsored Mobile Screening Unit. Until the KLMSU began operation throughout Kansas, many citizens of the State had to provide the financial and physical effort to go for medical screening. With the KLMSU, the local Lions will become involved in the service of screening their fellow neighbors.
