Folklore from Around the World
Vampires, like ghosts, are not culturally or regionally dependent, as are the leprechauns of Ireland and the phoenix of Egypt.  Stories, legends, and accounts of vampires have been reported from almost all areas around the world since the beginning of time.  As I stated before, depending on what country you're focusing on, the vampire known there will more than likely possess physical attributes and behavior just as individual as the culture it's a part of.

Some of the many names by which they are recognized are familiar to our ears:  nosferatu, vrykolakas, strigoii.  This is but a small sample of all the titles they bear the world over.  On this page, I'd like to introduce you to a few others, though please remember that this short list in no way cites all the races of vampires recorded here on Earth.
