(March 10, 2008) - On Saturday March 15, Blank Pages will join the Successful Failures, Somderdale and David Miller at the Swedes Inn to celebrate FDR Label's newest compilation, "About a Girl."

The album is a collection of the greatest songs in rock and roll history with a girl's name in the chorus and title, featuring a stellar line-up of indie-rock and garage pop bands. Blank Pages contributed a cover of the Turtles' classic track "Elenore" to the disc.

(March 1, 2008) - Blank Pages is featured on the latest BlowUpRadio.com & Lazlo's Den New Music Sampler CD which has been released as a free download at www.BlowUpRadio.com and www.LazlosDen.com.

(December 18, 2008) - From somewhere amid the suburban sprawl of southern New Jersey comes Blank Pages’ unique brand of guitar-driven power pop. On My Street, the band’s latest release on the FDR Label, continues the band’s tradition of churning out pop hooks that get into your head and won’t come out.

While Blank Pages’ powerful pop exudes the hooks and harmonies of classic pop acts like XTC and Wings, On My Street updates their sound and draws inspiration from modern purveyors of indie-pop like Jason Falkner and Sloan. The group features songwriter and guitarist Greg Potter, drummer Ed McCaffrey, guitarist Jason Brown and bassist Wayne Philipp.

On My Street’s well-crafted tracks are connected by Potter’s perspective of growing up in the Garden State and offer intimate snapshots of his life and the region. The title track provides an anthem for the unsung heroes who never strayed far from his neighborhood. While the closing track, ‘This is Where I’m From,’ mourns the state’s diminishing farmland being slowly overtaken by creeping suburbia.

The FDR Label, based out of Burlington, NJ, features several acclaimed New Jersey power pop bands including the Dipsomaniacs and the Successful Failures. Blank Pages has been featured on each of the label’s several compilation discs, including the latest installment titled About a Girl. The album features a mix of national and independent power pop artists covering tunes with girls’ names in their titles. Blank Pages offered a rockin' power-pop rendition of the Turtles' track Elenore.

The band’s unique style of power pop is inspired by such bands as Badfinger, Beach Boys, Beatles, Big Star, Byrds, Cheap Trick, Elvis Costello, Electric Light Orchestra, Jason Falkner, Jellyfish, Kinks, Knack, Paul McCartney and Wings, Matthew Sweet, Monkees, Pearlfishers, Police, Raspberries, Sloan, Superdrag, Velvet Crush, XTC, and the Who.
