With the growing number of Algerian students and community members in the United States, we felt the need of grouping the community in an organization.
The Algerian Student Association in America (ASAA) was created in October 2003 in the city of Chicago.
The objective of this organization is for us to remember, and represent, Algeria, but also to help new student in the United States with their immigration papers, understanding the American educational system . Moreover, the ASAA was created to also advise Algerian students with obtaining scholarships and grants from different organizations in the United States.
As for now, most of our members include students from the DePaul University, the University of Illinois– Chicago, Illinois State University. The membership is open to all Algerian Students living in the United States. We also welcome those who are iterested in Algeria. To apply, send us an e-mail.
