It is my feeling that a resolution like this will become a fantastic educational and safety-enhancing opportunity for college students and administrators throughout the United States. September is the most dangerous month for college students. Because of their newfound freedom and experimentation with alcohol and other drugs they are at higher risk of becoming the victim of a sexual assault or other serious crime. This Resolution will focus much needed attention on safety during this vulnerable time. The goal is that some of these crimes be prevented.
